"Seriously your making me move schools again I thought I did pretty good this time," I say sarcastically.
"Yeah right I don't think punching that girl in the face five times counts as pretty good," Creg says.
Creg is my Social worker he moves me to different places to live since every time I get adopted they end up not wanting me. Creg says they probably don't like the way I act and I scare them, but the way I see it is I like being in control.
"Yeah, yeah I know," I say with a mischievous grin.
"Well you can't act up a lot this time your probation officer isn't going to me that Nice this time," Creg says with a Concerned look on his face.
"I know," I say rolling my eyes.
The rest of the drive we drive silently. We were on our way to a new adoption home for me.Ever since I got put in the adoption program I've been put into different homes since I can never keep a steady home. After about the second time of being put out I just gave up on wanting to stay in one place."We're here," Creg says pulling into a mansion's driveway.
"Wow these people must be loaded," I say looking at the stunning house.
"Yes they are they own a very popular company," Creg says getting my suit case from the trunk.
"Ok," I say getting out the car walking to the door.
Creg follows behind me. Once I get to the door I stop turn around to face Creg and say,"See you next week."
"Lets hope not," Creg says hopeful.
"Don't get your hopes up you say that every time yet I still end up some where new," I say with out a doubt.
"Well maybe It'll be different this time," he says still full of hope.
"It never is," I say bringing my eyes to the ground slightly hurt but trying to no show my emotions.
When I first got put in the adoption program I've been tough, careful not to let anyone in afraid they'll leave me. And maybe since I'm tough now nothing will happen, like that dreadful night, maybe I could have fought back, then maybe , just maybe they could have been saved. But yet again they're all just maybe's .
"But hey may be you'll grow some eyebrows by the time I see you again," I say with a devilish grin.
He just rolls his eyes and rings the doorbell.
"Come on that was funny," I say hitting him in the shoulder.
Before he can answer petite blonde woman answers the door.
"How may I help you?" the woman questions.
"I'm Creg Jones and this is Alex-," He says but gets cut off by the woman.
"Yes yes I know who you are I'm happy you have a arrived," The woman says excited.
What is this woman a cheerleader I've never seen this much enthusiasm in someone who's adopting me.
"Its nice to meet you now I must get going, Alex this is Mrs. Felix," Creg says handing me my suitcase.
I just nod to her she reply's back saying, "Its so nice to finally meet you Alex."
"You to," I mumble.
"Well I best be on my way, good bye Mrs. Felix and Alex," Creg says walking back to his tiny black car.
"Bye Creg," I say waiting for the lady to let me in.
"Oh welcome to your new home Alex your room is upstairs by Kaitlyn's," She says smiling ear to ear.
"Kaitlyn?" I say.
"Oh your new sister of course she's dying to meet you just go upstairs and call her name and she'll show you," she says still smiling.
"Well bye Mrs. Felix," I say walking in the house, its even more amazing inside I say to my self.
"Please, call me Bethany," She says closing the door.
"Ok bye then Bethany," I say making my way up the stairs.
"Bye ," She says heading to a different location in the house.
Once I'm at the top of the stairs I turn into one of the hallways and call out, "Kaitlyn?"
As soon as I call out the Kaitlyn girl's name and tall skinny girl with dark black hair comes running towards me pulling me into a tight hug.
"Oh my gosh your finally here I've been waiting for you, Oh my gosh we're sisters now, I've always wanted a sister," Kaitlyn says still hugging me
I lightly pat her on the back. I haven't been hugged since.... that day.
"I was hoping you'd show me to me room," I say pushing away from the hug.
She stares at me confused for a second but then goes back to being happy. Well I can tell were she got her personality traits from, not so much of the looks though she probably looks more like her dad. Unlike me, for I'm practically a mere image of my mom.
"Oh yes of course," She says grabbing my arm dragging me to a room down the hall.
She brings me to large pink room with pink everything. I roll my suitcase in the room and stop in the middle of the room and look at the place, I absolutely hate the color pink.
"Who decorated it," I ask.
"Oh me and my mom we weren't sure what you like so we just did pink since all girls love pink," She says enthusiastically.
"Oh well I hate pink," I say.
"Oh well sorry but I could help you redecorate , owe maybe we can do purple wait no if you don't like pink you probably don't like purple what about blue everyone loves blue wait do you?"Kaitlyn rambles.
"Purples fine," I snap back getting irritated.
"Ok that's great then I could help you do it now or later or tomorrow or next week or-," Shes before I cut her off.
"Ok you can help.. god do you ever shut up," I shout highly irritated.
"Oh sorry.. I...I'm.. I'll go," She stutterers I can see the hurt in her eyes.
After she finishes her sentence she runs out the room into hers.
"Finally some peace an quite," I say collapsing on to the bed soaking in the smell of clean sheets, "This is a nice place to bad I'm not gonna last a week."
My eyes begin to get heavy, I haven't eaten dinner and I'm still packed. There's no point in unpacking if I'm not gonna be here for long. And with that I drift into a deep sleep
