Sitting by the logs of fire,
I think of the curvy turns my life took,
Realising this world is nothing but a lier .At the age of sixteen I dreamed,
Dreamed of escaping this low life.
By following the crowd of sheep's,
Only to have my dreams screamed out,
When the results of fear
Were announced.A year went by,
With my life rolling with roller coaster,
I became the rooster,
That woke by six and used till need.I compromised,
So bad I compromised.
College to college,
I was twisted,
I was rolled,
I was heaved,
I was trolled.Four years went by,
A engineer with a degree,
A degree without a job,
The dream of escaping,
Was shattered.
Everyone left who mattered.I was married,
A baby was carried,
A husband without respect,
A family without prospect.
That became my life,
When my dreams were cut off with a knife. Now after forty years
Sitting by the logs of fire
I realise the ticket that I tore
That could've been my way to sore
High in the hearts of people
Not only in the sky
