A few days after the date Scott and Stiles sat in a classroom waiting for class to start. Stiles were trying to get as much information from his friend as he could and Scott were trying to ignore his friend as he wanted to ignore his problems.
"If Derek isn't the Alpha, if he's not the one who bit you, then who did?" Stiles asked for about the millionth time, or it felt like that to Scott at least.
"I don't know." Scott answered, the same as he had done all the other times Stiles had asked him exactly the same question.
"Did the Alpha kill the bus driver?" Stiles continued with the questions and Scott wanted to run away and disappear.
"I don't know."
"Does Allison's dad know about the Alpha?"
"I don't know! Jeez." Scott yelled out making everyone look over at them. He finally snapped after having Stiles asking him the same questions for the last days. A thing that didn't help his frustration was to see the test they got back with a big D- in the corner in red ink.
"Dude, you need to study more. That was a joke. Scott, it's one test. You're gonna make it up. Do you want help studying?" Stiles started off joking but when he saw the look on his friends face he changed course fast and started to try to make him feel better. He knew how much this was getting to him.
"No. I'm studying with Allison after school today." Scott said trying not to think about the test in front of him, and that the test on Stiles desk had a big fat A on it.
"That's my boy." Stiles said sounding and feeling proud of his friend.
"We're just studying." Scott said trying to explain to his friend that nothing else would happen.
"Uh, no, you're not." Stiles said like it was obvious.
"No, I'm not?" The truth was that Scott was a little lost with what his friend were talking about. He had so much going on in his life right now that he felt like everything would explode at any moment.
"Not if I'm forced to love vicariously through you. If you go to her house today and squander that colossal opportunity, I swear to God that I'll have toy de-balled." Stiles explained to his friend. The only thing were that when he said those words something made him think about the beautiful brown haired girl that he had spent time with alone just a few days prior.
"Okay. Just - Stop with the questions, man." Scott said not being able to listen to this anymore.
"Done. No more questions. No more talk about the Alpha or Derek. Especially Derek- who still scares me." Scott couldn't help but to roll his eyes at his friend. Did he ever stop talking?
On the other side of the school three girls were walking together, talking about almost the same thing.
