Chapter 2: Getting To Know Her

Aphmau's POV

Renee got closer to me and hugged me.

"Uh, ah." I mumbled.

"Th..thank you so much for allowing me to stay. I honestly had no where to go." Renee said.

"Ahh, your absolutely welcomed...I'm sorry I came off as a little standoff ish at first. It's just I was taking off by surprised when momma asked this request of me." I explained to Renee.

"It's my fault I surprised her this morning thats why you didn't have much notice. I'm so sorry." She said with a frown.

"Don't worry about it, you're with family now. How about I get you some hot chocolate now?"

"Huh?" Renee said. I made her hot chocolate while she sat on the couch waiting for it. She looked all around the living room at the Christmas decorations. I walked over to her once I was finished and handed her the hot chocolate.

"Here Renee." She took it from me and started to drink it. "Aaron should refinished with your room soon."

"So this is where all my socks went!" we heard Aaron scream from upstairs. The dogs started to bark too. "Don't you sas me." There was more barking. "That's it!" The barking continued. I turned back to Renee and laughed nervously.

"Our pups Celeste and Alexander are were using your room. So if you find and fur around the room let me know. I'll be in there with a vacuum cleaner so fast." Renee was still staring at our tree.

"Huh.. you like?" I said asking Renee.

"Yeah, uh, sorry I didn't mean to stare, I just never saw a tree so pretty as this one."

"Aww, why thank you!" I smiled. "I actually decorated this one myself, this year."

"For Christmas?"

"Yup!"

"That's wonderful, I never had a tree like this growing up." She looked sad.

"Uh...well you can share it this year."

"Really?"

"Of course!" I concluded. "You are spending Christmas with us this year, aren't ya. Plus we are family." She just looked at me with happy eyes. "So tell me about yourself?"

"I uh...don't have much to say." Her face went red.

"Shy?" I asked and she nodded her head. "Don't worry about it then, you can tell me whenever you are ready."

"Thank you." She slightly smiled then she turned back to an emotionless straight face.

"Give me my sock back!" We heard more screaming from upstairs and the dogs were barking.

"Uh...give me a moment." I said going up to check on Aaron.

"Hey Aaron, do you need any help?" I chuckled at the door at the top of the stairs. He came out of the room.

"No, I'm fine." Aaron said.

"Really? I don't mind."

"I...can do this don't worry, I actually want to do this."

"Gotcha, umm do you want me to take the dogs out so you can prepare the room?"

"No, I gotta let them know who's boss." He went back into the room with the dogs.

"You go dog dad." I said after him. I walked back down the stairs and found Renee....
