The gods allowed Percy to keep all of his possessions and powers, but instructed him to not interfere with any demigods. However, should he ever come across a demigod in distress (EHHHHH), he would be allowed to assist them as long as he did not stay with them of affect them in a negative way. With this in mind, they made him swear an oath on the Styx to not return to Camp Half- Blood, however there was no oath on assisting demigods.

And with this, Perseus Achilles Jackson was banished from the place he loved most.

He was allowed exactly two thousand dollars to begin, but that could only go so far. He decided that he would try to visit his mother, and since he didn't have any drachmas or a phone, he had to take a cab and appear out of the blue. Since the drive would not be short, he decide to take some time to think about what he would do. There was three major things he had to take care of, which was shelter, food, and a job. He would have to get a job, to begin with. That would be one of the hardest parts. With his criminal background, it may be difficult to get a decent job. He could always get a fake identity, but that could prove to be difficult. More thinking about that later. Shelter and food now. Well, the job would pay for the food, and shelter... Percy knew that he couldn't live with Sally. He kept his demigod scent, and without a masking device like Smelly Gabe.... He couldn't risk putting her in danger like that. But there was something else, something that was holding Percy back but he couldn't tell what it was. As hard as he thought, he couldn't figure it out. In reality, it was that the rumors that were being passed around about the madness being contagious, the reason he was exiled, they began to grow onto him. Latch themselves onto him, and shook the way he thought. If this kept up, he would seclude himself until the madness truly took control.

PERSEUS' PERSPECTIVE
I hesitated to knock on the apartment's door. After all I had been through, I didn't want to put my own mother in danger. I held my breath, bit my lip, a new habit I had grown into, and knocked. It took a minute or two until a young teenage boy answered.

"Hello! Who are you?" The boy asked me. He was quite tall, with brown, almost red hair and blue- green eyes.

(I applaud anyone who could recognize this. Don't judge me, I'm obsessed.)

(I SAID DON'T JUDGE I AM ACTUALLY OBSESSED.)

(He's not wearing that.)

He reminded me of someone, but maybe not. He may be a demigod, but it'd be rather difficult for me to tell. I don't have Grover's sense of smell.

"Er- I'm Percy Jackson. I'd be looking for my mom, Sally Jackson? She should live here."

The boy simply blinked at me. "Are you sure? My Dad and I just moved in here a little while ago. Maybe your mom was the lady who lived here a little while ago. She was nice, I remember she gave me blue cookies. Slightly odd, but they were delicious."

I gave him a giant smile. "They are, aren't they!"

He smiled back, and motioned for me to come inside. Looking around, I could tell that they moved in where recently. There was still boxes every here and there, but they seemed pretty well set up. It was kind- of a weird thing to see. We sat down on their small sofa, and I placed my bag by my feet. It didn't contain much, just some clothes, some shoes, the money, ambrosia, nectar,  and just the essentials.

"Thanks for letting me come, but if you don't mind me asking, what's your name?"

He smiled. "I'm Bailey, and welcome to my home!" While he said this, he stood up and did a little bow. I laughed.

We immediately hit it off, and he agreed to let me stay until his dad got home from work since he didn't know any specific detailed about my mom.

BAILEY'S PERSPECTIVE

Percy's a good person. He's funny, and curious. I seem naturally attracted to him, and comfortable to tell him about my mother when he asks.

"She passed away when I was a child, so now it's just my Dad and I. He's great though, I know that my mom's death was hard on him and he tried to do his best to raise me with his job. What about you, any family problems?"

He laughed. "Yeah, you could say that. The same thing happened me, except that my dad was the one that passed. He died before I was born."

He seemed like he was being careful, but I decided not to pry.

When Percy first appeared, I immediately noticed the bags around his eyes. The was he couldn't stand still, and kept on tapping his fingers in the sides of his legs. His posture, which was slightly bent. And the way that he would look around him every now and then, as if he was expecting someone to literally emerge from the door and try to kill him. He definitely seemed to have been through something that made him like this, and he doesn't look like the kind of guy that has had an easy life. Then you look into his eyes which are a bright sea green, and they seem as vibrant as his personality. My dad is a therapist, and he specializes in veterans. So I guess I kinda recognize Percy's actions. Still though, I felt bad. He was my age, and he seemed antsy.

Once my dad finally got home, we ordered a pizza. He told Percy that his mom moved to Vermont, and gave him her contact information. He must have noticed the same things I had, so he didn't ask why Percy was all alone. We let him spare the night in my room, so I slept on the couch. He tried to refuse like he was afraid, but eventually caves and was knocked out.

As soon as he did, I went and talked to my dad.

"Hey."

"Hey."

There was a slight awkward silence before I spoke up.

"We have to him out, even if just for a little while. He's a good person, and I know that he is. I'm sure that I haven't known him for that long, but I can tell! Plus Dad, I'm sure you noticed, somethings wrong with him! He's so suspicious that something might happen, we have to help!"

He simply smiled.

"Listen, I know that you want him to stay. I trust him, and it's rare that I trust people. But you know that work has been difficult lately, and I'm going to need some help to make ends meet."

I smiled. This was going to work.
