Annie's POV
It's 8:00. Hayley, Saffron and I are all waiting at the police station. Mom is talking to the officer.
"What do you think they're talking about?" Said Hayley
"I don't know." I replied
"I'm sure it's about me..." said Saffron "Oh I really do hope there is some way I can stay with you guys!"
Katie's POV
I was telling the officer the whole story about how we found Saffron. He wrote it down in his little notebook and went of to discuss it with some 'official'. I looked out the window. The girls were sitting in a row of three. I felt bad for leaving them out there, but I guess I had to.
"So. I discussed everything with the chief and he has an offer for you..." said the officer,walking back in...
Hayley's POV
Mom and the officer looked like they were having a pretty serious chat. I hope everything's alright! I looked at my phone to distract me. I had 5 new messages. From Piper.
P: Hey gurll. Sent 8:10
P: I just heard you're at the police station-hope everything's alright! Sent 8:13
P: Hay?? Sent 8:15
P: U ok?? Sent 8:20
P: Hello?? Sent 8:21
I know she's my best friend and all, but I wish she wouldn't spam me with so many messages!
H: I'm fine Piper. Sent 8:34
P: Great. I've been so worried! Sent 8:34
P: Has something happend w/ Annie?? Sent 8:35
H: No... Sent 8:36
P: Then what happened?? Sent 8:37
H: Promise u won't tell... Sent 8:37
P: Promise :) Sent 8:38
H: Mom and Annie found this girl being abused in a house. We took her home. She's really nice, her name's Saffron. U should meet her :) Sent 8:40
P: Cool :) When can I?? Sent 8:41
H: Idk yet. Hopefully we're gonna adopt her. Sent 8:42
P: Hopefully :) Sent 8:42
H: Gtg nw mum's coming out. Ttyl x Sent 8:43

Saffron's POV
Everyone was on their phones. I felt a little left out to be honest. I started chatting to Annie, I hadn't really talked to her since she found me.
"Thanks for finding me." I said
"No problem" she replied
"Whatcha doing?" I asked looking at her phone.
"Just texting Hayden." She said
"Who's that?" I asked
"Just a friend." Annie replied
"Her boyyfriennddd." Said Hayley
We both giggled. Katie came out of the room looking a bit annoyed. I hoped she had good news...
