It has been a year. Jack couldn't stand the thought of it. Any of it. He was still processing it. Sam, Dean, and Cass were coping as best as they could. Jack learned to hide his true emotions at times when he thought it was best.

"Jack? How are you doing?" Dean asked

Jack shook his head.

"I'm okay." He said, with sadness in his voice

"Look...this isn't your fault. You did what you had to do—"

"Dean please...I'm over it." He said, blatantly hiding his misery

Dean pat Jack's back and looked at the ground.

"You still remember it, don't you?" Dean asked

"How could I forget...when it all happened so fast?"

"Y/N, stop!"

"No, no. I got this! Don't worry, Jack!" You told him

"Sam said we needed to go! This place will crash!" Jack shouted at you

You and the boys were assigned a case of a spirit who had unfinished business with a certain house. This spirit turned out to be vengeful and you threw the burning match onto what he was attached to the most. The fire then started to spread around the house. You didn't know if it was right, but something told you that this fight wasn't over.

"I need to go after him! He's not burning!"

You then ran the other direction and Jack tried to follow you. Castiel had come in to stop Jack from moving any further.

"Castiel! Let me go!" Jack demanded

"Jack, we have to go! Where's Y/N?" Cass asked

"She went further in the back of the house! I tried to stop her Castiel...I tried!" Jack said, tearing up and fearing you wouldn't come back

"Y/N! Y/N!" Cass said walking through the house

"Castiel wait!" Jack called out

You were stuck in between two fallen ceiling boards. One of those boards was slowly burning.

"Jack! Cass?" You called out, trying to move the board that held your foot into the ground

"Y/N! Hang on!" Castiel said, moving through the fire

Then another part of the house collapsed in on itself, causing Cass to jump back a bit.

"Cass! Go back! Save yourself and Jack."

"Y/N! I won't let you!" Jack said standing next to Cass

"Jack! No!" Cass shouted

Jack then used his power to hit the boards and the back of the house with a strong force. This caused you and the boards to collapse. You landed on your back, seeing the boards land on you, in slow motion. You felt the burning fire and the pain of how much wood was piercing through your skin. You screamed out, inducing a shiver through everyone including Dean and Sam's body, even though they were away from the house. Sam and Dean turned their heads at the same time and started to run back to the house.

The house was getting covered in flames and wood was slowly disintegrating from the fire. There was a loud crack and Cass immediately backed up, pushing Jack along with him. They avoided the side of the house hitting them, while you were stuck with the burning and heavy boards. The side of the house hit you, which felt like an elephant lying down on your body. You let out a few wheezes of struggle and you looked up and saw the sky. You smiled, for you knew it was your last time to ever see them.
