Morgan (one Little's story)

Chapter 7

I feel myself being shaken awake. When did I fall asleep? Daddy is shaking me really hard and calling my name in a panicked tone.

"What? Daddy sorry I'm fine," I say confused. Then I see my legs cut up a bit and the blood and my scissors on the floor beside me. When did I even fall asleep?

Daddy grabs me into his arms and buried his face in my neck.

"Morgan? Are you ok? Why did you do this?" He is crying and rocking me. I don't answer but just stare at him silently.

He carries me to the sink and begins cleaning my cuts up and putting purple bandaids on them. I cry while he cleans them.

"Have you done this before, Morgan?" He asks.
I nod but still don't talk.

"You cannot do this type of behavior under my roof Morgan, this has to stop. Do you understand me?" Daddy sounds very stern but I know it's because he cares or because he is feeling afraid, or both.

I nod as tears pour down my face. He holds me and rocks me for a long time.

Then he puts scissors away where I can't find them.

Daddy carries me to the kitchen and opens the fridge.

"Morgan your food is still here, did you eat anything when I was gone today?" He asks.

I shrug my shoulders casually, avoiding eye contact with him. Daddy looks exasperated.

"I can't leave you home alone anymore..." he says scratching his head and thinking.

"I'm sorry," I say, starting to cry.

Daddy kisses my forehead then kisses my tears away.

"It's ok princess we will figure this out ok? Daddy will take care of everything," he says.

Then we made dinner together, pasta and salad. We ate and watched movies and cuddled until I fell asleep in Daddy's arms. I wasn't sure how tomorrow would go. I just wanted to feel better.

I woke up in Daddy's bed and he was kissing me.

"Hi Daddy," I say and he kisses my nose.

"I love you," He says.

"I love you," I say smiling and giggling. He tickles and hugs me.

"How are you feeling this morning?" He asks trying to sound casual but I can see he is watching me closely with a concerned tone to his voice. He runs his fingers through the hair around my face.

"Good because I'm with you Daddy," I say giggling.

"Daddy is working from home today," He says.

I squeal and give him cheek kisses.

Daddy sends me to get dressed while he makes food.

I dress quickly, remembering my punishment yesterday and head to the kitchen.

Daddy lets me help with the bacon and pancakes. No eggs today thankfully. We eat and Daddy gives me orange juice in a sippy cup.

After breakfast, we head to Daddy's office. We both get straight to work, Daddy typing on his laptop and me painting a beautiful picture.

After an hour, I had painted a picture of the ocean and the sunset behind it.

Daddy hung it up on his wall.

"I'm going to go play," I lie casually.

Daddy nods in approval and I sneak to his bathroom.

Yesterday when the bad thing happened in the bathroom, I saw something else fun in there when I was looking in the bathroom cabinet.

On one of the bottom shelves there were lots of different color hair dye boxes that said Revlon on them. I found a lightest sun kissed blonde one. I locked the door real secret.

I opened the box and put on the gloves. I read the directions real careful and began mixing the color with the developer. Then I parted my hair and began applying the blonde dye all over my head. I threw away the box when I was done. I giggled at my reflection in the mirror all covered with damp hair. I could see the color lightening.

Then I heard a knock on the door.

"Morgan, what's going on in there? You better be being good," Daddy sounded concerned.

"I'm just in the bath Daddy I'm fine I promise," I say real convincingly.

"Come back to my office when you're done," Daddy orders reluctantly.

"Yes Daddy," I say giggling at the mirror.

I wash out the dye at exactly 40 minutes and blow dry.

I look into the mirror and gasp at my reflection.

I hope Daddy doesn't get mad.
