Chapter One: Pine Tree? Really?

The dark haired man slips on the diamond band onto my ring finger, "Hey um, I think this may be too small and I don't know how we can not cut off your circulation system."
The scene freezes and I sigh looking off into the distance to some hopeless audience somehow interested in my life story, "Dylan did the fitting for me because he said he's an 'expert on women'. He said it was gonna fit and not worry about it but I guess not." I shake my head and the scene commenced again with me helplessly dealing with the 24K Princess Style ring I'll probably switch out later. The pine woods smelt of... well pine and the priest begins speaking.
"Elizabeth Jones and Dylan O'Brien, may I now announce you as husband and wife," I lovesick sighs into his beautiful eyes as the priest continued, "You may now kiss the-"
"I OBJECT!" I hear a voice off into the distance. Right at the moment, I find myself probably against a tall talking tree with a letterman jacket back in reality. Mystery boy bumped into me without apologizing. What a gentleman.
With that, I slapped him across his face, but he respond with no reaction. What the heck? Oh wait that wasn't his face I'm too short for that. Still invisible, I decide to kick him in the shin with my cool basic converse. Yeah, that should do it.
Still nothing. What is this guy, The Rock or something? I raised my hands up in defeat causing one to touch his face where his mouth is. I freeze widening my eyes and try to pull my hands back down but it's too late. His large hands grab my wrists and looks down at me with curious eyes, "Hey uh, Eliza?"
My heart stops momentarily and I think I'm going to have an anxiety attack. Beckham Irving the Third, (I know right, so extra) the school's quarterback and soon the be valedictorian. But, I'm not judging too far to say he's the definition of perfect like his fangirl group. He's a human like anyone else. A human who remembers my name? "Beckham?"
"Sorry for running into you I just didn't notice," he says like it's no problem and shrugs.
Pfft like he didn't
"I swear I didn't sweetheart," he chuckles. Wow he has some guts. Wait did I say that out loud. That's just great.
"Why the nickname? It's so clichè." I ask as he lowers my hands down falling limp to my sides.
"I don't know." He states confidently. "Also, it's cute I like it," the boy smiles with satisfaction. His friends Nolan, Payson, and Charlie and most of the students around turn to look at us.
Oh seriously
Great job Elizabeth for staying under the radar
Well he is cute
People are staring what you doing?
I don't even know half of the time
"Who's this brown eyed beauty?" I notice Payson intently mentions. He runs his hand through his hair and out of the corner of my eye, Nolan rolls his.
"Don't mind him, he's just bored and hasn't had anyone to flirt with for about 10 minutes," Nolan shakes his head. Payson frowns and elbows his teasing friend on the chest.
"Listen, y'all need to learn to respect gir- I mean women like a real man. Like me!" Beckham smiles causing swooning within a radius of 10 feet. Wow, confident much? I look over to Charlie how his head in a book again like he usually does.
"I DO!" Payson raises his hand revealing the small tattoos embedded on the bottom of his arm. This guy...
"I should get going now.." I try to leave, but Beckham pulls me toward him trying to explain something.
