Lovestruck//Daniel Seavey

Chapter 6

*(recap: Taylor is Zach's older sister and she is visiting LA for a couple weeks. When she arrives, Daniel seems to have a crush on her and she likes him back. They go on a date and end up kissing a little. Then they arrive back home and go to sleep.)*

Daniel's POV:

I wake up in the morning and Jack and Taylor are still sound asleep.
I crawl out of bed and make my way downstairs. 
Jonah is already there.
"Morning." He says.
"Good morning." I responds.
I hear someone coming down the stairs and it's Zach, followed by Corbyn.
A couple hours later, all of the boys are downstairs but Taylor is still asleep.
"Wow she must really be tired." Jonah says.
"Probably from all the fun we had on our date last night." I say in a "silly" voice.
"Get over yourself you giraffe." Zach says, making the others laugh. 
"Very funny." I respond and cross my arms.
Then we all decide to play video games.
All of our yelling must have been what brought Taylor downstairs.
I turn around when I hear someone and see Taylor in short shorts and a sports bra.
"Daniel!" Jack yells.
I turn back toward him.
He was yelling because our team was losing on the game.
I pause and get up.
"What are you doing!?" He yells and then looks at me making my way over to Taylor.
"Put some clothes on!" Zach yells at Taylor.
She rolls her eyes, and I stand next to her at the counter.
"Morning."
"Good morning. I had so much fun last night. Thank you."
I smile and start leaning in, but she walks away.
Then, she takes her bowl of cereal and goes back upstairs.
I walk over to the couch and sit down.
"Now you come crawling back." Jack says.
"That was weird." I say.
"What?" Jonah asks, while he is intently playing video games with the others.
"She didn't seem to show any interest in me."
"Maybe she's just tired." Corbyn said.

Taylor's POV:

After running away when Daniel tried to kiss me in the kitchen, I felt super bad.
I got bored all alone so I decided to Facetime Zoe.
She answered right away.

Z- Hey
T- Hey
Z- What's wrong?
T- How did you know?
Z- It's a friend thing. You're in a house filled with 4 amazing boys and your brother. What could be going bad?
T- I went on a date with Daniel last night,
Z- What!! Yay!!
T- Yeah it was amazing. But after we kissed and everything-
Z- You kissed?!
T- Let me finish
Z- Sorry
T- It made me realize that i'm leaving in like 2 weeks and if i get attached it's going to be so much harder to leave. I can't catch feelings
Z- I get it
T- So i'm going to avoid him
Z- Taylor! You can't do that, it's so mean
T- I don't know how else to do it. It would be too hard for me to talk to him about it
Z- It's up to you. I just couldn't do it
T- It's the easiest
Z- Why don't you stay longer than 2 weeks?
T- I don't know. I can't live with them. They leave all the time for shows and it's the band managers house
Z- Oh. Well i have to go. I'll talk to you later. Keep me updated !!
T- Ok, bye!

After hanging up, I spent most of the day in the room.
No one really came up except for when Zach let me know they were all going to the beach.
I was downstairs on the couch when I heard someone unlocking the front door.
I got up to start going back to the room, but Daniel walked in.
"Hey Taylor, I need to talk to you." He says.
"Uh well I have a lot to do. Maybe later." I respond and run upstairs.

Daniel's POV:

The rest of the boys follow me, and once we are all inside I say, "Something is definitely going on."
"Why is that?" Jonah asks.
"I just told her I need to talk to her and she said she's busy and ran off to her room."
"So?" Jack responds.
"Sooooo, she's obviously avoiding me."
"And?" Zach adds.
"Why?"
"Does it really matter?" Corbyn asks.
"Yes!" I yell.
"Ok chill. I'll talk to her." Zach says and goes upstairs.

Taylor's POV:

I just sit on my air mattress when Zach walks in.
"Zach, I think I need to switch rooms." I say.
"Why?" He asks.
"I just do."
"Okay. You can sleep on the couch." He says.
"But someone is always down there super late." I argue.
"It's the only option Taylor."
I roll my eyes, "Fine."
"So what's going on with you and Daniel?" He asks.
"What? Nothing."
"Are you avoiding him?"
I shrug.
"Why?"
I shrug again.
"Do you like him?"
"It's complicated."
"I'm your brother, you can tell me." He says.
"Maybe later. I just wanna get out of the house."
"Want me to call Lauren?"
I nod, and Zach leaves the room.

Daniel's POV:

Zach comes down the stairs but instead of coming over to me, he goes over to Jack.
They talk and Jack calls someone, then Zach sits by me at the counter.
"So?" I ask.
"She won't tell me anything. She just kept shrugging."
I roll my eyes. "What could I have done wrong?"
"Oh, there's one more thing." Zach says.
"Yeah?"
"She's switching rooms. Now she will be sleeping on the couch."
"I wish she would talk to me." I say, then Jack comes over.
"Lauren is on her way right now to pick up Taylor."
He says.
"Great." Zach responds and goes upstairs.
"Lauren and Taylor are hanging out?" I ask Jack.
He nods.
"She said she was busy all day." I say.
"I don't know what to tell you man."
"Will you have Lauren ask Taylor what's going on while they hangout?" I ask him.
"I guess."
"Thanks bro."

A few minutes later, there's a knock at the door.
"I'll get it!" Jack yells.
He opens it and reveals Lauren.
They kiss and talk and make their way to me.
"Hey Lauren, do you think you could ask Taylor why she's avoiding me while you hangout? Just casually slip it into the conversation maybe?"
"Sure, why not."
"Thank you!" I say and I see Taylor walking down the stairs.
She's gorgeous.
"Ready?" Lauren asks her.
Taylor nods and they go out the door.
