I hummed a song I made as I walked in the woods. I was wearing a brown shirt and off-white three-fourths. On top of that, I wore a off-white hoodie-cloak. My face was hidden to the people.

I bent down and checked how my rose plant was growing.

"Aw, that's a really pretty one," I said softly, to myself, seeing a small deep pink rose blooming on the plant. Suddenly, I heard groans. "Who's there?"

The groans stopped, as if the person was tensed up on finding someone other than them in the woods. I stood up and looked around. I couldn't see anyone.

I took a step ahead, when suddenly, someone dropped from the tree above and closed my mouth.

"Ahp-" My voice got muffled. The person hissed. It felt like it was a woman from the hiss.

"Who are you?" She said. Before I could point out to her that I can't speak with her hand on my mouth, she collasped, releasing me.

"Ah, are you okay, ma'am?" I said, turning around. I was looking at a woman in her supposedly 30-40's. She wore a torn purple dress and her eyes were slashed badly. No wonder she was groaning. "Oh my god, you're hurt, ma'am! Let me help you"

She didn't protest and let me carry her to my house. I reached the cave in which I lived. I placed her on the bed I had made myself of leaves and hay.

I brought a bucket of water from the stream outside and took a clean piece of cloth. I washed her wounds and used my rough herb mixture on the wounds. She hissed and I winced everytime I applied it.

"I am sorry," I mumbled as I wrapped the wounds in some special leaves that were hard to tear.

"It's okay," she said, breathing heavily. "What's your name, girl?"

"I am (y/n) (l/n)," I said, softly. "And you are, ma'am?"

"I am Kikyo Zoldyck, but you may call me Lady Kikyo," she said. I nodded, not wanting to make her speak much. "Thank you for helping me. Here take this, put it on my eyes"

She gave me something that looked quite foreign to me. It was made of metal and was probably some kind of electronic that she had.

I did as she told me, attaching it to her face, as she told me, helping in between. She tried to sit up when I finished applying medicine on all the wounds.

"Please don't speak much, Lady Kikyo," I said. "You might get tired. I will bring you some soup"

I quickly made some soup of healing herbs, vegetables and water. I tasted it to make sure it was tasty. I gave her some and fed her.

"Do you live around, Lady Kikyo?" I asked.

"No, I live far away," she said.

"Then what are you doing here?" I asked. "I don't mean to sound rude, but you shouldn't come into the woods if you aren't used to the forest"

"Oh no, I am used to it," she said. "Quite, really. I own a mountain. Our whole family lives in a mansion on that mountain."

"A mansion?" I said, surprised. I started eating my own soup. "You must be really rich. What do you do, Lady Kikyo?"

"I am a former assassin," she said, quite frankly. I was surprised, but didn't show it. "You scared?"

"No, ma'am," I said with a smile. "Just surprised. Wow, Lady Kikyo, an assassin? That must be pretty cool. No wonder you came down from the tree so swiftly, I didn't have time to react"

Now she looked surprised.

"Hm," she smirked. "You are pretty and smart. Quite an interesting child, too"

"Thank you," I said with a smile. For some reason, I felt like something big will happen.
