A black and white mare lay under a willow tree breathing heavily surrounding her was her stallion and leader of the herd Lightning, with their colts Jake and Jacob. All waiting patiently for the colt to be born. They always had boys, Lightning tried to comfort his mate/mare Cloud. Soon with a screaming whinny she pushed and there lay baby horse as white as snow with reddish brown coat. Cloud sat up, and looked at her baby she got up and began to clean her. Lightning stepped forward watching as she cleaned the baby but suddenly the baby stands wabbles a bit. "It's a filly"."Lightning have you ever seen a foal stand that fast?!" Ask Cloud "No but do you see those markings she is a medicine hat a War Horse." "Those are rare and said to be very brave, strong and smart" as they are talking the filly starts to nurse from Cloud. "What should we name her, I like the name Grace." Said Cloud. "Hmm what about Luna after the moon?" asks Lightning. "I love it, hello Luna welcome to Full Moon herd." Luna looked around with such innocence and had yet to know of the hard and challenging future that lays ahead.
