Chapter 4 -- Love?

Herin's POV

The only thing I remember was Chanmi charging towards me like a mad bull ready to hit me.

I was scared and shocked, but i didn't move. I felt a tall figure rush in front of me, then a pair of arms spread around my body. The owner of that pair of arms smelt like expensive cologne. But that wasn't the main point, the main thing was that i got to feel his hug again. It felt the same like how it did years ago.

It felt so safe.

I felt so safe.

I heard him yell in pain as Chanmi's hand landed on him instead. The moment i heard his yell, my heart shattered. I tried to stop myself, but before i knew it. My arms snaked around his waist and I burried my head into his shirt.

It felt so warm...

"NO! CHOI KANGJYU, YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME! YOU DON'T LOVE HER ANYMORE!" Chanmi yelled angrily as she attempted to brake us apart.

"No, Chanmi, you're wrong. I still do."  Kangjyu managed to mutter in the midst of the hug

There it was butterflies in my stomach. Choi Kangjyu, why are you making me feel like this?

I thought you didn't care anymore.

By now, Chanmi's face was beetroot red with anger. As she was about to fight back, we heard voices outside the door. Must be the managers walking by, Chanmi looked around frantically as she tried to escape. Before she ran out, she muttered some bullshit to us.

"Choi Kangjyu, you wait and see. I'll make you fall in love with me again. Seo Hye In, you better watch out..."

I rolled my eyes, and why should I? Are you gonna kill me now?

"...cause someone's about to get really, really, hurt."

That was all she said as she ran out through the backdoor to escape.

Huh, coward much?

Narrator's POV

"Uh, Kangjyu, you can let go now. Chanmi's gone." Herin said, awkwardly. But she got no reply from him.

Herin tried to break the hug, but Kangjyu's iron grip was too storng.

"Choi Kangjyu, come on! Let go, so i can treat that wound on your face so you can get better!" she said.

Kangjyu whispered something softly into her ear.

"If you really wanted me to get better, you'll let us stay like this for a while"

That line, it sent chills down Herin's body. After what seemed like forever, they finally broke the hug. Herin and Kangjyu looked at each other, like how they once did in the past. They breathed heavily as Kangjyu said

"You look like a tomato, Herin-ah." he said, half smiling.

"Shut your mouth, I still hate you for what you did to me." Herin replied, pretending to be serious to contain her feelings.

Herin's Pov

Kangjyu just laughed and ruffled my hair like he used to do. Strange? Why is he acting as if nothing happemed between us before? Is he starting over?

"Cutie."

he called me.

"But i still hate you." i crossed my arms and looked away. Kangjyu just placed his hands in his pockets and walked towards me with a smirk on his face. And there it was, my heart thumping 1000 times faster.

"We'll see about that." he whispered.

"Don't look at me like that"

Kangjyu turned around to leave as it was tine for night practice to start.

"Oh and never mind about my wound, I'll get Chloe to clean it for me." Kangjyu said.

"Okay, whatever."

" Uh, Cayden." I called out.

"Yeah?" he turned his head and looked at me with a smile.

"Thanks for helping me." I said shyly.

"No prob. Anything else?"

"Yea, please tell those girls to be careful of Chanmi. Especially your sister. You heard what Chanmi said about hurting someone just now, didn't you?"  I told him to warn those girls to stay away from Chanmi.

"Okay, so...bye." Kangjyu had turned to leave. I watched him walk down the stairs for a while as I turned to go the other away when Kangjyu stopped me.

"Hey, Herin, practice finishes late today. Wanna grab some starbucks after that?" he asked me, with a lopsided smile.

Dang I miss that cute smile.

"Yea, sure..." I replied.

Holy crap, am I falling in love again? If I am, why though? He cheated on me, right? Maybe he's sorry?

Kangjyu was walking down the stairs and I was in the midst if thoughts recalling the hug and what had happened just now. Something else caught my thoughts. We aren't the only people who's lives is being made miserable by Chanmi. Lee Arim, she has been bullied ever since she came in, probably even worse than what Chanmi is doing to us.

But why isn't Arim doing anything about it?
