A Blind World (Poem)

Dead eyes stare into a blind world

Hope is shattered at the sight of a ball of flesh

The whole world trembles upon the first impact

All feeling is lost as is starts to swell

Slow warmth trickles down from a fresh rift in life

Life that is slowly trying to drift away

Life that is wishing to vanish and fade

Rivers of sound flow from a canyon so deep

Steel clasps the canyon, quenching the sound, killing the river

Dangling in death's grip, squirming is the victim

Little by little light fades away

Discarded is the vessel, thrown away

The world remains shrouded from the vessel's truth

Dead eyes stare into a blind world
