Finally I Cry (Poem)

Tears fall like rain

Cutting trails down my face like broken glass

The knife-tears leave blood pouring down

Obstructing all beauty that once was

The tears turn into bloody drops

And stains precious young lips a fearful color

Emotions pass endlessly through my eyes

And finally I come to realize why I cry

When life finally becomes truly meaningless

Everything has a purpose and a place

Stoned to death are the fearless

Driven to death are the conquerors

I do not understand, cannot understand

The simple fundamentals

Pity, guilt, and pain force everything to make sense

Thus I am at a loss of understanding

I see my face in a mirror and smash it with deadly force

It brings satisfaction to see such a hideous failure

Shattered and left in jagged pieces

After all of this I think

Finally I can see, finally I cry
