For awhile I could keep who i was a secret. It's junior year, so yeah i am 17. we moved to LA this summer from NYC after my dad decided i need a break from cold weather and nonexistent friends. I think it was more for Anthony, he needed a break more than any of us. Mom still lives in our Penthouse on the Upper East side. I think she is having an affair but that's none of my business.

I didn't do anything crazy like change my name or dye my hair but i just kept to myself for awhile. I made a few friends, Lilly and Veronica. Both asked to have a sleepover at my house before but i wasn't ready to tell them all about my life.

They decided i was weird because i always wanted to go to their house instead of coming to mine so we faded away.

About three days after Christmas break this year i was spotted at the Golden Globes. January 7th. I came back to school and bam. everyone knew and everyone wanted to be my friend.

Let me tell you something about LA. Everyone wants to be somebody. I had boys from the football team coming up to me asking me what my plans were for the Sweetheart dance. I had girls come up to me asking me about the Sweetheart dance. I had people asking me about why i never told anyone about who i was. I had Lilly and Veronica coming up to me wanting to be my friend again.

You know what i said every time? nothing.

Lilly and Veronica posted pictures of me on their Instagram after they found mine, which if they really looked hard. You would be able to see, i have many pictures on the red carpet with my aunt Kelly or my parents.

Secluding myself is a lot easier than getting my heartbroken from people using me and that is what seems to be a big thing when you are who i am.

----

"Hey Jillian." i hear behind me as i walk through the open hallways.

The open hallways is something i really appreciate. Its all open so when its raining if the wind is taking it just right, all my books get wet. There is a large garden filled wit picnic tables in the middle where people sit in between class periods, lunch, before and after school.

I stop after i hear my name called.

" I was wondering what you were-"

"Doing for the Sweethearts dance." i cut Tony Vicks off. Not a football player but a rugby player. Stands about 6 foot four easily and his arms bigger than my head. He's literally a skyscraper compared to my 5 foot 3 inches height.

"I was actually going to ask tonight." He smiles and chuckles a tad. I instantly feel my cheeks heat up and i start sweating.

"i'm busy. Sorry." i start to walk away but he grabbed my wrist .

"I wanted to ask if you wanted to go to the Post Malone concert with me tonight. I have an extra ticket and not to be an asshole but my friends found better seats i guess." That was easily the nicest thing someone has said to me. I am a second choice and i am excited about it?

"I'll think about it." I say and pull my wrist back. but my pandora bracelet with all my charms from where my dad has gone. everytime he goes on a business trip he picks me up one and gives it to me the next morning when he comes back. you can only imagine all the charms i have, but i put the ones i wish i went with him on the bracelet. Like Paris, Africa, and Russia.

"Shit, I am so sorry." Tony says as we both kneel down to pick up my bracelet. One of the charms is missing and of course its my favorite one. The Effile Tower.

"Can you help me find the Tower charm." I say not making eye contact because if i lose that one, ill be heart broken. That is the charm my dad got me when i had to move into the house alone with Anthony this summer. Dad put my in charge of making the house look nice as can be while he was away. Thank you aunt Kelly and Pinterest for helping me on that one.
