Matthew began walking downstairs, being tired and sleepy. When he got to the dining room, Francis noticed how sleepy Matthew was, "Hey, did you stay up a tad late, Mattie...?" He asked.

Matthew nodded, holding his head up as he poked at his plate of pancakes. Nearly dropping his head into the pancakes. His eyes were still red from crying last night, causing both Arthur and Francis to grow more concerned.

"Uh, what else were you doing last night?" Asked Arthur, taking a bite of his breakfast.

Matthew blinked, "Uh, nothing...Just...Didn't sleep..good..." He replied, drowsily eating a pancake while syrup slopped onto the side of his mouth.

"Alright, that's some straight up bullshit. Now, tell what you were doing last night, or you're grounded." Said Arthur, having a stern expression.

"Ugh.. If you're so interested, I was talking with Gilbert. That's all!" He shouted, tired.

"What! We told you, you aren't allowed near him!" He said, outraged.

"Well, too fucking bad! I'm mad at Gilbert anyways, so that's a plus for you all.." He said, slouching into his seat.

"Wha-! Wait, what? W-Why?" He asked, surprised.

"Its none of your business..." He muttered, taking a few more bites of pancakes.

Arthur groaned, facepalming. "You were obviously talking about something with him that made you depressed. What is it?"

"It's nothing..I'm not depressed. Just, leave me alone...Please." He said, shrugging and got up from the table. Walking fast to his room. Leaving Francis and Arthur concerned but slightly ticked.

Matthew slammed the door, flopping onto his bed, muttering something but was interrupted by a "Psst! Psst!". Waving a hand, Gilbert climbed onto the balcony with a smug expression, "Mattie Pattie!" He said, excitedly.

Matthew looked over, rolling his eyes, "What do you want?" He asked, folding his arms, still in his PJs.

"Well, I thought I'd prove you that I truly love you and not just to stick my 2 inches in you." He said, walking over to him.

He tried not to laugh at Gilbert's remark, doing his best to keep his stern composure, "Really? Well, if so, show me." He said.

"Well, if you'll let me grab the basket it, with that said, would you like an outside picnic or have it here?" He asked, having a small smile as he walked back to the balcony.

"Hmm? We're having a picnic..?" He remarked, surprised, "..uh, well, I suppose outside. Since I did mouth Arthur, probably getting grounded later." He said, rolling eyes as he followed Gilbert.

"Jeez, I thought you were the good boy in the family." Said Gilbert, chuckling as he tied a rope on the handle.

"Pfft! Just because I'm soft doesn't mean I can be a tough boy." Joked Matthew, chuckling. Finally smiling when making eye contact.

"Hehe, hmm..I guess we got something in common, huh?" Remarked Gilbert, putting gloves on and slid down the rope. Waving down before feeling his hands, getting slight rope burn. "Hurry up, Mattie Pattie!"

"Alright! Alright! He said, quickly putting a vest on and putting his small knife in his knife holder, then quickly began climbing down the rope. Trying to copy Gilbert, but only gave him worse rope burn.

"Ow! Ow! Fuck!" He said, letting go midway and falling on his back." Hnng, that was stupid of me.." He said, rubbing his head.

"You're telling me! It takes years to be as awesome as me to glide down a rope in such style." He said, having his signature laugh before helping up Matthew.
