*Castiel's POV*The bell rung, and everyone left class. I started heading to the theater, when a hand on my shoulder halted me. Looking down at the man, I smiled, realizing who it was.
"Hey, Gabriel." I said, patting his shoulder. "Hey Cas. Heading to the theater, are we?" He smirked, tilting his head. "As always." I said, shrugging.
"Well, not today baby bro. Go home, Castiel. Take care of yourself." He said with concern in his voice. "No, I prefer the theater-" "I wasn't asking." He interrupted me, patting my shoulder and turning around.
I sighed, turning the opposite way and leaving the school. Where to today? I thought to myself. I let myself wander down streets and highways, and found myself at a crappy motel.
I opened my wallet and pulled out a credit card. "Hi, one night please." I said to the woman at the desk, handing her my credit card. "Sure thing, Jimmy." She said, reading the name on the card.
I smiled and put my hands in my pockets, looking around. The motel was old and rundown, and some spots on the wall had holes and cracks. "Here you go, and here's your room key. Free breakfast starts at 8, ends at 11. Enjoy your stay!" She smiled, handing me back the credit card and a bronze key that had a number carved into it.
I found my room, and went inside. There was one small bed, a desk with a lamp on it, a bathroom, and a small refrigerator. I dropped my backpack on the floor and threw myself onto the bed. It wasn't exactly comfy, but it was better than the school theater seats.
I stared at the ceiling, which had big yellow stains on it. The room beside me was occupied, and there was loud music playing from it. I sighed, trying to ignore it. I rolled over and covered my head with a pillow.
But I couldn't block it out. So, I stood up and decided to say something. I went outside and knocked on their door. Being this close to their room, I could tell what song was playing.
Something by that band that Dean liked. Metallic? The door slightly opened, and there was an unfamiliar face peeking through. "Uh, could you turn the music down-" Then it happened. I heard it. "Hey, Jude."
I swallowed hard and furrowed my eyebrows. "Uh, never mind. But, could you play Hey Jude on... repeat or something?" I stuttered, smiling. "Let me ask my brother." The messy brown haired man said, running off.
I waited by the door awkwardly, unsure of what to do. I looked up at the sky. It was cloudy and cold. I shivered, sniffling and rubbing my eye. The door rattled, and I straightened up my posture.
"What's your deal-" He started, opening the door. "Dean?" I asked, stepping back. "Castiel? W-what're you doing here?" He chuckled, looking around and shutting the door behind him.
"I- uh.. I'm staying in the room next door." I looked down. "Why? You have a home, right?" He furrowed his eyebrows, stepping forward. I stayed silent and clasped my hands together.
"Uh, well I mean- come in! You're probably cold." He clapped his hands and smiled, opening the door for me and waving me in. "That's okay, I mean I'm staying right next door." I said, chuckling.
He sighed, raising his eyebrows and crossing his arms. "Inside. Go." I walk inside, and their room is more house-like. They have a living room, and hallway, and an actual kitchen. I nod in approval. "Nice place."
"Well, we've been here for a few years, we like to make renovations every now and then." He said, smirking. I smiled, leaning on their dining table. "What now?" I asked, tilting my head. "Sammy! Can you go get some groceries?" Dean yelled, looking me in the eyes and smirking.
