There was laughter surrounding my ears, and I smiled as the silence that seemed to haunt me vanished.

They had all returned, all of my friends, my family. Well most, as Nesta and Elain still remained in the mortal lands.

Though Nesta was truly the emissary, Elain had went along too. Neither sister wanted to be parted again, and they hadn't wanted to leave without me either.

But I must stay at the Night Court.

And I was glad that I did, as I would get to enjoy moment such as these.

"Cassian!" Mor shrieked, as Cassian reached over a took her glass of alcohol, sipping from it as she tried grabbing it back.

"You insolent bastard" she muttered, a resignedly poured herself another glass.

"And why are you so silent." Cassian jabbed Azriel as he asked the question, a smirk dancing on his face.

"I do not need to resort to such stupidity." The reply came with a small smile, and there was warmth in the shadowsinger's eyes.

"And how exactly am I stupid?"

Amren walked in, her short hair bobbing as she sat in a chair. "How much time do you have?"

Cassian scowled at her, crossing his arms.

It deepened as he saw Mor and I stifling laughs.

I sat down as well, taking a sip from the glass of water in front of me.

"You know, Amren, my offer still stands of us sparring." A wink came from his face. "Let's see who exactly is superior for this."

"I still can fight with some of my power gone you insufferable dog."

Cassian just smirked.

"Both of you stop, this is supposed to be a nice family meeting." Rhysand sat down beside me, kissing me on the head as he leaned back.

Mor merely pursed her lips, and took a drink from her glass. "I wish we could have one of those, you know a peaceful and nice family gathering."

"Where would be the fun in that" I said, and she laughed.

Cassian's eyes darted to my stomach. "How has our little new addition been going."

"Pain in my ass," I grumbled, which was then greeted by light laughter. "A blessing," I added. "But still a pain."

"You look all right, you know for a pregnant Fae whose stomach seems to be bigger than Amren's ego."

I glanced towards Amren, who muttered something about how his small brain is bigger than... a certain part of him.

"What am I going to do with you," Rhys said to Cassian, and the general of the Night Court armies shrugged.

I smiled wickedly as I plucked some fruit off my plate, "Perhaps pummeling him as he called me huge, not once today, but a few weeks ago."

Azriel and Rhys both choked at once.

Rhys just shook his head at Cassian, who glared at me. "You called my mate fat, when she is pregnant?" The look, the utter look of confusion sent me laughing.

"When did I say that?" Cassian asked, and I gestured towards my drink.

"When you were drunk as hell a few weeks ago, and came into my room acting like the complete blustering idiot you are. And by the way, great job for noticing that my stomach was bigger than before, it's definitely not like that happens when one is pregnant." My words were drenched in sarcasm, and I looked at Azriel, who was watching with an amused smile that grew as he heard my comment.
