Madison sat there staring at the wall. She knew it was too early to start developing feelings, but for some reason she had felt like she already had. She decided to push the thoughts to the back of her head and to think about something else. School. School definitely wasnt her place to be. All of the students would push her around and call her names. Well except for this one girl named Sam. That was her only friend. She couldnt wait until she could graduate. It was two years away, but it was definitely worth it though if it meant that she never had to see any of those people again. As Madison sat there, her phone vibrated once more.
H: Thank you so so much! It really means alot. I need someone who I can trust.
Throughout the rest of the night they talked. Madison sat there never checking the time, but once the sunlight had started shining through her windows, she realised that she had stayed up too late. The next thing that she knew, her alarm was ringing that deathly sharp *beep beep*. She slammed her hand down on it to shut it off. "Mother fucker", she said. The clock read 6:47. She heard the voices laughing at her. "Shut up." she looked at her phone once more to answer Hailey.
M: Hey, I have to get ready for school, but I promise that we can talk more later. Okay?Madison got up and got dressed. She put on her light washed skinny jeans and a gray T-Shirt. She took her hairband and tied her messy hair up into a loose bun. "You look like a slob" She looked in the mirror. "Its okay. No one pays attention to you anyways." They're right. She has never got any attention at school besides from her ex, Nataliee. She never understood why someone like her thought that someone like Nataliee could have feelings for her. It seemed impossible, and it was. Nataliee never loved Madison and after a while, Madison learned that she never had feelings for Nataliee either.
Madison sat on her bed and looked down at her scuffed up Converse. She didn't want to go to school. She never did. Why go to a place when all you are is hated? And that was the truth. No one cared. Well, just maybe, maybe this Hailey girl did? It was possible. Madison sat there for a moment and knew that she needed to go. She got up and checked her phone once again.H: Yeah, thats fine. Thanks for being here last night. Bye.
Madison texted back a super simple text so that she wouldn't want to talk more.
M: No problem. Bye.Madison grabbed her backpack and threw it over her shoulders. She unlocked her door and walked out. "Holy hell", she muttered under her breath. The house was a mess. She stepped over a broken beer bottle and walked out of the front door. She looked down and checked the time on her phone. The screen read 7:18. She had 12 minutes to get to school. She texted Sam real quick.
M: Hey. You on your way to hell now or?Within only seconds of waiting for a reply, she got one. Except it wasnt from Sam. It was from Nataliee.
N: Hi. Um, I was wondering if you wanted to hang after school? I know we havnt had the best time but maybe we could start
over.She texted Sam immediantly.
M: Nevermind. Not going. Wanna ditch with me?She stood still with her mind running wild. "Dont skip" "She wants you back, do it" "Dont fall for it" Was she going crazy?
S: Sure. Meet at my place?
Madison started to type and walk as fast as she could.
M: On my way now. Be there in 5.
She walked along the wet sidewalk. It was still wet from the night before. Madison listened to the sound of the noisy traffic as she made her way to Sams place. As she reached the front steps, she walked up to the door and knocked. Sam opened the door and she walked in. "Put your stuff on the couch and we can talk in my room" Madison did exactly what she was told to do. She walked into Sams room and sat on her bed as Sam threw her some Pajamas. "Wanna stay tonight? I can tell somethings up." Madison stuttered, "Y-Yes please" Sam looked at her with a concerned face. "Okay. Just get changed and we can talk."
Sam started to change in front of her. It was normal for them though. They were really close. As Sam started to remove her shirt, Madison bit her lip and focused on untieing her shoes. When she was done with her shoes, she took her pants off and put the shorts on that Sam had gave her. The two girls sat on the bed and started talking. "So Whats up with you" Madison looked at Sam and said something she knew she would regret, "Wanna know the truth?"
