It's been 3 weeks since the fight and we have been invited to Stanley Bar mitzvah. Bill decides not to go but I go. I walk into the big Churchish building and I take a seat next to Richie. I smile at him ad he grabs My hand, we're sitting in the 2nd row behind his family. Stanley sees me and smiles at me and I blush at how adorable he is and I smile back.
He does some Hebrew ritual stuff and reads out of a book, he gets ready to say his speech...
Part of his speech was
"When you're a kid, you think you'll always be... protected and cared for. Then one day, you will realize that's not true. If you open your eyes you will see what we're going through 'cause when you're alone as a kid, the monsters see you as weaker. You don't even know they're getting closer, until it's too late." (Yes I remembered it)
Stanley adds
"Being an adult isn't about being able to drink alcohol or drive being an adult, according to the town of Derry. Is learning not to be a piece of shit. " stan walks away and it gets awkward Richie and I stand up and clap but nobody else does. Embarrassment fills my face and Richie laughs. (A DELETED SCENE FROM IT. )

But after stans Mitzfah All of the losers club besides Bill.
We all meet up for dinner, I sit Next to Beverly and after we Finish eating I ask her
"Why haven't you told Bill." I ask her.
"Because Eli there's someone else I like too, I can't say anything because it will ruin everything."Beverly adds
"Why can't you tell me?" I yell letting everyone at the table hear.
"Because Eli, It's you." She says softly.
My mouth drops.
And I have no words to speak.
My best friend likes me? I feel bad I don't feel the same.... how do I tell her?
