I got all fancied up, wearing the nice 1800s style suit. Apparently the Schuyler balls have been going on for over 200 years! So they keep it the way it's always been. So the girls wear big poofy dresses. I Cannot wait see what Peggy's dress looks like. I was just looking in the full length mirror, I hear the door open from behind me. There was beautiful Peggy in her yellow dress. she started to come into the room. "You look great John! Just lemme fix this..." Peggy said adjusting a part of my outfit. I don't really know exactly how to put things like this on, but she helped. "There!" She said pulling away. "Thanks peg!" I said. "No problem!" Peggy said. "Girls!" We heard Catherine yelling from the hallway. Peggy groaned. "Ugh, my mom wants to respect our dresses" Peggy said heading out the door. I peaked out the door of the bedroom, trying not to be seen. I saw all three girls and Catherine in hallway. Catherine Looked over the girls head to toe. Eliza was wearing green, Angelica wore peach and Peggy wore yellow. I guess this was a bigger deal than I thought. Catherine looked up at Eliza, Eliza bit her lip. "Elizabeth...where did you find that dress of yours..." Catherine said. "Um, my closet" Eliza said awkwardly. "You know Colette brought out the blue dress you where supposed to wear tonight!" She snapped. "I know mother... but it doesn't look good on me!" Eliza said. "It's a beautiful dress meant to be put on a beautiful girl! Now I suggest you head back to you're room and get the dress on! You look poor in that dress!" Catherine snapped again, Eliza nodded. "Angelica, Peggy. You girls go down, I want smiles on your powdered faces! Maybe I can convince the gathering that I have two daughters" Catherine said. The girls all parted separate ways. Well that was interesting. It was around the time to go downstairs. I walked on the stairs the proper, Ive never been to anything this fancy before. See more and more people start coming to the big doors. One of those people being Alex. I Race down the stairs to get his attention. "Hey Alex!" I said. He looked around for a moment to he saw me. "Oh hey john!" Alex said. It took Alex moment to say something. "Where have u been? I Tried to go to your house yesterday but you weren't there, your dad was super mad!" Alex said. "Well about that... I ran away from home and ended up here" I said. " Really? Lucky! The Schuyler's are super rich!" Alex said. "Where are the Schuyler sisters?" Alex asked me. " um haven't seen them yet" I said lying. " Well, I think we shall mingle with the ladies" Alex said flirtatiously. We both laughed. We Walked into the beautiful ballroom, Mainly people talking, it was about to start. Catherine grabbed a microphone and begin to speak. The charter slowly died down. "Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the annual Schuyler winter ball!" Catherine said. Everyone clapped. " we all have names on who will be dancing with who, lets get started" Catherine said. I looked over at Eliza trying to make eye contact with Alex. I could see that she really wanted to dance with him. "Ok, first up we have my daughter Angelica partnered with Alexander Hamilton" Catherine said into the Microphone. I saw Eliza's face go sad. Alex awkwardly walked to the middle of the ball room, and so did Angelica. They danced with everybody watching. Could see that Alex super tense, probably that everyone in the room was staring. Many dances went by. "Next is, my daughter Peggy and John Laurens" Catherine said. i Felt my stomach drop. I don't know how to dance! Let's hope Peggy knows. We walked over to the centre of the ballroom. The music started, and we slowly begin to dance. I was sweating like a pig, Peggy seemed fine though. " so how are you enjoying the ball?" Peggy asked. "I mean, it's not my cup of tea, but it's ok" I said, Peggy giggled. "Do they always make you dance with everyone watching?" I asked. Peggy shrugged, "this is my first time being old enough to be here, last time I was with the kids upstairs" Peggy said. We both laughed, and just like that the song was done! It went by quicker than I thought. Once we were finished, I walked back. My arm was grabbed all the sudden. It was Eliza. "Uh Hey john, could I talk to you for a moment?" Eliza asked. "Yeah sure." I said. She brought me over out of the room. "I have a question, does Alex, you know, say anything about me?" Eliza asked looking down. "Sure he does, all the time" I said. She paused. "Ok, it's just that we are kinda drifting apart lately" Eliza said. "No need to worry, he loves you" I said. Eliza smiled, "Thanks john" she said. "No problem" I smiled back. All of a sudden Catherine comes in. "Elizabeth? John? What are you two doing over here?" She asked the both of us. "Well, I was just asking him a question mother" Eliza said to her. "Ok, well, since you are over here, do you mind going to check on the kids upstairs?" Catherine asked. "Of course. Wanna come John?" Eliza asked. "Sure" I said. We headed up the long stairs to the kids play room. We opened the door. There was about 9 kids from ages 3 to 8. "Elizzasaaa" yelled one of the kids. "Hi guys!" Eliza said as she picked one up. "These kids look like they love you" I Laughed. "Well, I do spend a lot of time with them. I can't wait to have kids!" Eliza said as the young kids surrounded her. "Who is he?" On of the kids asked Eliza, pointing to me. "Oh, this is John" Eliza said Laughing a bit. I laughed and waved. Eliza and I hung out with those kids for a while. Then Peggy came in. "Oh! John! There you are! I thought you left!" Peggy said laughing. I laughed too. "Hey john, I need to show you something.."
