Jesse sighed and looked at his friends. "Look. We need to split up. Lukas, you'll come with me and we'll find Radar. Petra, you take the others and retrieve the clock. We'll meet back up here afterwards, got it?"
Petra nodded. "C'mon Jack, let's go get the others."
Jesse watched as Jack and Petra left, then looked at Lukas. "You ready?"
Lukas nodded. "Let's go find Radar." He replied.
The two left the town and went out to where Jack said Radar had been stabbed. Sure enough, there was blood on the ground, and a trail of blood leading off to the right, with footsteps to the left of the trail. "Jack wasn't joking." Jesse said, his eyes following the trail. "Come on, Lukas. Let's follow this trail."
"Are you kidding me? What if that trail's a fake? What if it leads us straight to the admin?" Lukas responded, only to get a glare of annoyance from Jesse.
"Look, I know Radar like the back of my hand. He tries to be tough, but sometimes can leave a trail. In this case, it's a trail of blood." Jesse said, starting to follow the trail.
Lukas sighed, shaking his head, and followed his friend. "I'm telling you this now, if we get into one of the admin's traps, I'm blaming this on you."
"I'll take the blame if that does happen, but if we find Radar, then I'll have told you so." Jesse smirked.
Lukas huffed in defeat as Jesse looked at him. Suddenly, he grabbed Jesse's shoulder and stopped him from moving any farther forward. "Unless you wanna add some fall damage to your health bar, I wouldn't take another step forward." He warned.
He stood beside Jesse and looked down the cliff, his eyes searching the bottom of the large cliff. "I don't see him anywhere." Lukas said sadly.
Jesse stared over the edge of the cliff, looking for his green-clad friend. His eyes suddenly wandered across a speck of black, but it looked to be hair. "Let's go down to the bottom, I think I see something curious."
Lukas nodded. "You lead, I follow."
Jesse and Lukas began their careful journey down the cliff. About halfway down, Jesse gasped. "Radar!" He yelled, starting to fly down the steep edge.
"Jesse! Wait up!" Lukas cried out. "Stop!"
Jesse was already at the bottom of the cliff, running towards something that looked almost like a pile of snow. Then Lukas saw it.
A green and white hoodie.
Lukas almost literally flew down the side of the cliff, running over to Radar, who laid in the snow, barely alive from his wounds. Jesse was already next to Radar, sitting on his knees as he held the smaller male close to him, trying to make sure he was still alive. Lukas walked over and frowned, seeing the extent of his injuries.
Radar's right side was covered in crimson red blood, his left leg looked like he had landed on it hard and completely shattered the bones, and his right wrist was swollen and slightly purple. He had obviously been laying on his right side, as the left side of his body had a light layer of snow covering him.
A soft groan emanated from Radar and Lukas' eyes snapped up to see Radar opening his hazel eyes. He looked up at Jesse, squinting slightly. "J... Jesse...?" He asked, his voice hoarse and small.
Jesse didn't know what to say, so he merely nodded, his emerald green eyes locking with the smaller male's hazel ones. "We're gonna get you home. I promise."
A small smile crossed Radar's lips and he laid his head on Jesse's armored chest, closing his eyes. "Thank you..." He whispered.
Lukas smiled slightly, happy that Radar was still alive and now safe with him and Jesse. His diamond blue eyes looked up the cliff and he suddenly noticed a problem. "Jesse. We can't go back up the way we came," he pointed out. "It's too steep and you'd fall backwards hanging onto Radar the way you are."
"You're right," Jesse sighed, running a hand through his dark brown hair. "Any ideas on how to get back to the top?"
Lukas bit his lip slightly, unsure. He was hitting a dead end on that one. "We could wait it out for the others. They would know how to get up."
"True. But I have no clue how long Radar can hold out with this stab wound." Jesse remarked.
"I know I hate digging into the side of things, but we could mine our way out."
"Mine our way out?"
"Yeah. I've done it before when I was in a jam. All you do is make it look like a staircase and just climb up it!"
"And I'll be able to carry Radar up it."
"Right."
"Well then... Let's...."
What will happen next? Should Jesse and Lukas:
A) Stick it out and wait for the others to return.
OR
B) Make themselves a staircase and get back to the top.
Make your choice quickly! Radar's life depends on it!
