If Mina was a calm, docile, obidient little princess she would be getting ready to meet her soon to be Husband Mark , King Of nearby southern palace Blancad.
But she wasn't exactly the docile type.
Mina was exactly what her family did not want, a rebel. She didn't welcome everyone looking down on her
So you could imagine the uproar at the palace when she was told she was to marry Mark.
Of course she expected it, she was 18.
Just the right age for a sick fuck to walk right up and claim her, right?
She didn't think so.
And she'd be damned if she didn't try everything to make sure this marriage didn't happen. She was going to be everything Mark didn't want

Independent
And maybe a little too headstrong

Sure, Mark may be a total sweetheart
But Mina isn't taking chances, not today.

She put on her most modest dress and walked slowly to the dining hall
She wanted to be late.

-
Mina couldn't pinpoint exactly when she started being disgusted by royals, including herself.
Maybe it was all her parties her parents didn't let her "peasant" friends attend.
Maybe it was her maids all too much care for making herself more "marketable" to the royal boys.
But the scene in the dining room may just take the cake.
-
Mark won everyone over.
His gentle eyes, calming smile, and even the way he talked simply bought Minas parents out.
She wasn't buying it.
But she wishes she wasn't right.
-
"Time to formally introduce the kingdoms new couple.", Minas father said standing up from the table signalling everyone to follow him down the hallway.
They stood in the confessional, the air so thick you could cut it.
Or maybe it was just Mina
Minas father extended his hands to both Mina and Mark, them both taking his hand.
"Mina, darling, this is Mark Jameston, King of Blancad. Mark, this is my dear daughter Mina, Princess of Avalon. I wish you both the best in your marriage, may it bring peace to the land."
The look in Marks eyes just wasn't right.
"If i may, may Mina and I talk in private, sir?", Mark asked, everyone nodding and leaving the room.
-
Once again the air was thick.
Mark walked closer to Mina, looking around the room a bit before looking down at her.
"Your father says you make a fine pie, which i see here," he pointed to the pie in the fridge, "since dinner was ran a bit short, may we try some?"
At this point, he seemed harmless enough, so she turned around to cut him a slice.
Her body froze when she felt the unmistakeable feeling of a hand making its way up her thigh slowly.
She jerked away from his grasp and shouted, pointing the knife at Mark.

"Why i ought to slice you! You are mistaken if you think i am some docile little princess who will let anyone do anything to her." She said backing him up slowly as she continued pointing the knife at his neck.

They backed up into the corner as he switched their position, lifting her onto the tabletop the pie had previously been on as he continued his efforts to touch her.

She had a moment of panic, the knife still in her hand and in an effort to get away stabbing him until he fell limp to the ground.

She was shocked.
She was a murderer.
-
Her efforts to clean up the blood showed no progress.
She tried anything to wipe it away.
Nothing.
Then she wondered what will happen to her once her family grows suspicious and decides to check back in on her and her now dead soon to be husband.

She knew their was only one thing to do.

Leave.
