"Ring!" The school bell rang and I went to my best friend, Mahiru. I felt my bag wiggling a bit and I turned back a bit. "Shush, Tsubaki. I don't want anyone to see my bag wiggling and find you in it! Especially Mahiru, he doesn't know I'm your Eve yet!" I whispered to my bag, sure that Tsubaki could hear it. My bag immediately stopped wiggling, just in time when Mahiru looked up from his book. "Oh, hi Y/N, I didn't notice you there." He said, smiling. "Well, there is this geography question I don't know how to do. Is it okay if I come over later in the afternoon at your house?" I asked. "Sure!" He nodded. I thanked him and made my way home.
As I was walking home on my own, I can hear Tsubaki grumbling about how unfair it was that I was spending more time with Mahiru then with him even though I'm his Eve. I just rolled my eyes and ignored him.
-time skip to meeting at Mahiru's house-
I rang the doorbell and was greeted by Mahiru holding up a basket of freshly-baked cookies. "There you are! Kuro and I are waiting for you!" He greeted and opened the door wider so I could come in. I walked into his apartment, and sat down on the sofa. "So, which question is it that you need help on?" Mahiru asked, sitting down next to me and putting down the cookies on the coffee table. "This one." I said, pointing to a question. "Well, it's pretty easy. All you need to do is......"
-time skip to a few hours later-
"Like this?" I asked, finally solving the question. Mahiru nodded approvingly and was munching on a cookie. I looked at my watch. "Oh, look at the time! I have to go now, bye!" I smiled and picked up my bag, heading out of Mahiru's apartment after thanking him.
It was dark outside already so I set Tsubaki out of my bag. He immediately turned into his vampire form and was frowning about something. "What's wrong Tsubaki?" I asked as we walked together on the street. "I don't like the way you always hang out with Mahiru. Why you never hang out with me? I won't let Mahiru steal my girlfriend." He grumbled. I smiled, "Why would I want to be with Mahiru when I can have a vampire as my boyfriend, silly." He immediately brightened up but his expression fell again. "What is it this time?" I asked. "Just, reduce interactions with him." He replied softly. Unfortunately for him, I heard it. "So, you are jealous, aren't you?" I teased. "No, I'm not!" He denied. "Yes, you are!" I smirked. "Fine, you win. I am jealous." He admitted. "Don't worry, I will always be your girlfriend." I said, standing in front of him and tiptoed to kiss his cheek. He blushed and kissed my forehead. "Of course you would." He said, smiling.
