I sighed.

"Keep talking, Kian!" Andrea nudged him.

He motioned to Jenn, who was walking in, and whispered.

"I can't tell you in front of her!"

We nodded and shrugged.

"Okay, well can we still go to the beach?" Andrea asked Kian. He grinned, she grabbed a bikini, and they were out the door, hand in hand.

Jenn walked into the living room. "I have a mocha drizzle for you and a non-fat vanilla.... Where's Andrea?" She looked around.

"She ran away with Kian," I replied as she handed me my drink. She sighed.

"Of course she did."

Jenn had planned to go to lunch with JC, so by about 1:30 in the afternoon it was my first day alone in California.

At first I'd acted like I knew my way around because it's easy to get away with that when you're with a group.

Now I felt like a confused tourist.

So I did what I seem to always do when I'm confused, or upset, or just bored...

I texted Connor.

Me: hey c- you busy?

Connor: nah hbu? wanna hang?

Me: yes right now!! im alone !!

Connor: ill be over in 5.

I watched Cake Boss in the living room until there was a knock at the door.

"It's me!" I heard Connor's voice on the other side.

I smiled and got up to let him in.

"Hey!" I grinned. He returned the smile and looked around.

"You having fun so far?" He asked.

I nodded. "Can we go somewhere? It's been so long since I've been here, I wanna explore!"

Connor thought for a bit and then laughed to himself.

"Go grab a bathing suit and come with me."

I did as told and we left.

We ended up at the boys' house and I changed in the bathroom as Connor put on swim trunks for himself.

I finished putting my purple bikini on and stepped into the living room. Ricky was watching Pokémon (big surprise there) and I sat down on the sofa next to him.

"Hey, Nat!" He smiled when he noticed I'd joined him.

Connor arrived back at the bottom of the stairs and I got up and met him. He opened the front door for me and we stepped out.

A black Jeep was pulling over in front of the house as we walked outside.

We waited and saw Lia exiting the car. She walked around it and noticed us standing there.

"Hey! Connor! Wait... Is that who I think it is!?" Lia yelled as she walked towards us.

"Yeah," I smiled and gave her a hug.

"Jeez, Nat! It's been years!" She laughed. I nodded.

"Last time I saw you, you were this big!" I lowered my hand towards the ground.

Lia laughed.

"What are you doing here?" Connor asked, obviously getting nudgy.

"Oh, I'm here to see JC!" She grinned. Connor and I looked at each other, confused.

"Uh, JC'S with Jenn. They went to lunch hours ago." I said.

Lia's smile faded.

"What?"

Connor and I finally finished the awkward conversation as Lia went into the O2L house to talk to Ricky.

"Sorry about that." I said.

"It's alright... So can we go now?" He took my hand. I blushed.
