Modern day teenagers are raised in a way that focuses on them. Technology is a major contributor to this problem. Almost every advertisement for technology involves teenagers. There is now a front facing camera solely for the purpose of taking perfect "selfies". The amount of pictures a phone can hold is astonishing, but exactly how many of those are of the owner themself? Many teenagers take massive amounts of selfies to find the perfect one. They simply won't settle for less than a perfect picture of themself. This is part of the reason why the modern teenager is conceited and puts him or herself before others.
