Third Person POV
Richie stayed next to (Y/N) during the walk to the quarry, flirting and making jokes like he always does. Stan was quick to squeeze himself in between the two. (Y/N) sighed, shaking her head. When they arrived at the quarry, everyone started stripping down to their underwear, shocking (Y/N). Well, I guess if everyone's comfortable... She thought as she started stripping herself. It would be an understatement to say that Stan was weary about the whole thing. He was watching Richie like a hawk as (Y/N) stripped. Richie took a double take when he looked in her direction. She caught him staring and blushed, starting to walk over, only to get pulled away by Stan. "Stay away from him. He is not good for you." Stan said, sternly. "How would you know? Maybe I met him for a reason. I love you Stan, but I want to talk to him, and you can't tell me not to." (Y/N) retorted, walking away to go talk to Richie. "Hey." She greeted with a smile. "Hey. Stan's actually letting you near me? Only wearing that?" Richie asked in disbelief. "I wanted to talk to you, so I'm going to." She responded, confidently. "Ooh~, I see. You're a little rebel, huh?" He teased. (Y/N) laughed, rolling her eyes. She looked over, seeing the group standing around the drop-off, along with Stan glaring at Richie. "Guess we should join them." She said, looking back at Richie. "Yeah." He replied, walking with her to the others. Stan immediately moved next to (Y/N), relieved that Richie didn't seem to try anything with her. "Who first?" Eddie asked, looking over at Beverly. "Do I have to go first again, sissies?" Beverly questioned, smirking. "I'll go." (Y/N) spoke up, walking over to where Beverly stood. "Yes! Let's go together." Beverly suggested, smiling at the curly haired girl. Said girl smiled back, grabbing Beverly's hand. They ran and jumped off the edge, safely landing in the water below, once again dumbfounding the Losers Club. "We got showed up again... By two girls this time! Come on, Stan, your little sister just owned your ass!" Richie laughed, jumping in next. Richie was followed by the rest of the remaining Losers Club. Everybody started swimming and hanging out in the water, like usual. (Y/N) laughed as Eddie argued with Richie. "You got it in my mouth! Do you have any idea how filthy this water is!?" Eddie asked frantically, splashing Richie back, in the face. This made (Y/N) laugh more as Richie came over to her. She shook her head, crossing her arms. "You shouldn't have done that to him, Richie." She playfully scolded. "Do what? This?" Richie questioned, splashing (Y/N) in the face. She faked an expression of hurt, putting a hand over her heart as she gasped. "Oh, no you didn't." She said, in a fake valley girl accent. "Oh, well I just did." Richie shot back, in the same accent. (Y/N) quickly splashed him back, and swam away as fast as she could. Richie chased after her, picking her up by her waist, and pulling her to him. "Nuuu! Iz been caught!" She yelled, dramatically. Richie laughed at her attempt to escape, holding her tightly. (Y/N) giggled, as this is the first time she's ever had this much fun with a guy, who wasn't her brother. She turned around in Richie's arms, and smiled at him, wrapping her arms around his neck. They stared into each other's eyes for a moment, Richie's eyes flickering down to her lips, before slowly leaning in. Right as their lips brushed against each other's, (Y/N) got pulled away. Stan grabbed (Y/N)'s wrist, dragging her away from Richie, and out of the water. "Stan!" (Y/N) whined, receiving no reply from Stan. There was anger present on his face as he grabbed a towel, wrapping her in it, and sitting her down. He grabbed a towel for himself, wrapping it around his waist, and sitting down. He ran a hand through his hair, and was tapping his foot, trying to calm his anger. Richie was annoyed that Stan always had to ruin the fun. Richie got out of the water, along with the other losers, grabbing his own towel. The other losers noticed the awkward tension between Richie, Stan, and (Y/N), and decided to change the subject. "So, (Y/N), you wanted to know about what we were talking about earlier?" Ben asked, sitting down with his towel. "Oh, yeah. Yes, I do." (Y/N) replied with a smile. Stan shot Ben a glare, who just ignored it. Ben pulled out his folder, filled with the evidence they'd gathered so far. He handed it to (Y/N), who looked through it. "The disappearances of the children. It’s been happening every 27 years. So far, we've figured out that all the kids have all gone missing near the sewers, and that whatever is doing it, is not human. We've all seen something happen, having to do with our fears, except Richie. Only the people who've seen it can see it. If you haven't seen it, it's as if it's not real. Bill saw his brother Georgie, and a clown. Eddie saw a leper, and the same clown. Mike saw people getting burned alive, and the same clown, at different times. Beverly's bathroom sink drain exploded with blood, covering her whole bathroom. I saw a headless corpse that chased me in the library. And, Stan saw... What was it that you saw, again?" Ben explained, looking at Stan when he forgot what Stan saw. (Y/N) immediately looked at Stan with a concerned expression. "I saw the flute lady... From the painting in dad's office at the synagogue..." Stan said quietly, looking at the ground. (Y/N) stared at them all in disbelief. "I cannot believe... THAT YOU DID NOT TELL ME, STAN!!!" (Y/N) yelled, looking at her brother with wide eyes. "I didn't want you getting involved. Besides, it's not real anyways." Stan responded. "Wait... But why hasn't Richie seen anything?" (Y/N) wondered aloud. "We haven't figured that out yet. He's afraid of clowns, so you'd think he'd seen It." Mike said, looking at Richie, who was looking at (Y/N). "Wow... This is crazy..." (Y/N) muttered, looking at the ground. "You see why I didn't want you involved?" Stan asked, looking at her. "Well yeah, but I'm officially a part of this now, so don't try to keep me out of it." She warned. Stan sighed, putting his face in his hands. (Y/N) smirked in satisfaction, winking at Richie, who smirked back. "Alrighty, so what now?" She questioned, in interest, rubbing her hands together. "Well, f-first of all, welcome t-to the Losers C-Club." Bill smiled, putting a hand on her shoulder.
