"So, Minyoung, Jaehwan asked me about it," Minhyun says placing his bag down and making himself comfortable on her couch, "Since you decided to run off,"

"Well, hello to you too," I mutter. "What did you tell him?"

"Not too much, just the basics - he doesn't know exactly what happened." He shrugs "Can I have some water? I feel parched," I roll my eyes at him,

"I'm sorry, your Highness, but you know where the kitchen is; do it yourself," Minhyun laughs and gets up "So does he just know that I was in a relationship before and it ended badly or did you tell him more than that, like the stuff about the-"

"No, I didn't, figured you'd tell him that yourself," Minhyun explains before talk a gulp of newly acquired water, he looks as though he has more to say "Okay, stop looking at me like that - I'll tell you, but you might want to take a seat," I give him a confused look. "Just do it, please,"

"Okay, I'm sitting,"

"It isn't that big of a deal, I just thought you'd like to know that I saw Daniel earlier today - he asked about you." I blink a few times at Minhyun. "Yes, I know - funny, huh?"

"Funny?" I whisper, feebly, "It's not that funny. What did he ask?"

"He just asked about how you were doing, I said you were fine - without him - and I mentioned that you had a date coming up," Minhyun explained "I didn't tell him too much, just what I hope will be enough to convince him to keep his distance. He also mentioned that he wants to be friends again, at least, which wouldn't be all that bad - he's changed Minyoung, I can tell."

"I don't really care whether or not he's changed, Minhyun," I say, still whispering "It doesn't change the fact that he did a whole bunch of bad things, to me and other people; including you." Minhyun nods understandingly. "It's partially my fault for being so stupid, yeah I know that, but he can be pretty manipulative."

"Maybe that's why you should give Jaehwan a proper chance, I feel like that might keep Daniel at a distance - I'm sure Jaehwan would be willing to protect you," my cheeks light up a little, becoming the slightest bit pinker. Minhyun has a pretty good point, it is worth a shot but I'm still pretty scared.  Minhyun stands up and puts his glass in the sink,

"Anyways, what should we do about dinner?" He asks, looking through cupboards for food we might possibly be able to throw together.

"You're staying  the night?"

"Yeah, why not? I'm already pretty hungry and I don't think I can wait until I get home. Do you think we could use up the ramen you have left? And the five eggs here, what about the vegetables? You need more food in this house, Minyoung, oh wait you do have cheese..." I let out a giggle and smile at him "What? What's funny?"

"Not much." I say walking over to him "Thanks though," he raises his eyebrows as if to say "For what?", I laugh once more "for existing. You're the best cousin, and friend I could ever ask for. I love you," Minhyun bursts out laughing.

"I love you too, Minyoung," Minhyun replies "but food is more important, so can we make some dinner?"

"Yes, let's do that, and I'll try to not get egg on you this time." I grin widely "But no promises,"

"Please don't get egg on me again, that was my good shirt too," Minhyun frowns remembering the last time he stayed the night and I somehow managed to get egg on him - which I still don't think I did. "Maybe I should get egg on you, as payback,"

"Don't do that," I whine, lightly shoving him to the side. "You cut some vegetables and I'll get to cooking stuff, okay?"

"I'm not sure if trust you with that though, usually I do that stuff..." Minhyun says, "You'll be okay right?"

"You, someone who could probably burn water, are asking someone who lives by herself if she can cook? I figured you'd be a little smarter than that, Minhyun," I laugh. Minhyun laughs too, he does this every time we make dinner together only because he's hopeless at cooking and I actually know what I'm doing. It became like a running joke. "Should I put in the flavouring packets? There's extra spicy, or mildly spicy... should I put in both or just one?" I mumble to myself,

"Just put in the mild one, you don't have enough milk in your fridge for both of us, but I suspect that's because you drink too much coffee." Minhyun answers for me, it's not my fault I drink so much coffee - it's because I work with coffee around me everyday. It became a habit to have coffee constantly.

"Don't insult my coffee addiction," I huff, placing the extra spicy one in "You're good with spicy stuff, right? I'll have the milk." Minhyun shrugs before dumping some vegetables into the pot.

"It certainly smells quite spicy for mild..." He takes a glance at the packet "Ah, different brand, thats why." I stifle a laugh, he doesn't know what's coming for him. "Should I just scramble the eggs?"

"Why are you even cooking them in the first place?" I slide across the kitchen and bump him out of the way, looking down at the eggs they didn't look great. Rolling my eyes, I take the spatula from him and mix the eggs around,

"I don't trust you with eggs, Minyoung,"

"Seriously? This still?" I laugh, "I'm not going to get egg on you, Minhyun," Minhyun raises his eyebrows before cautiously exiting the kitchen. "Okay, fine, I get it you don't trust me - look at this betrayal." I pretend to cry, causing Minhyun to crack a smile. "Much better," I say holding up the eggs the look a lot less messy than what they did before.

Piling everything into two bowls, I pass the bowls to Minhyun and get my glass of milk as well as refilling Minhyun's with more water. "Dinner is served, this was a good team effort,"

"I did pretty much all the work, but sure, enjoy!" I retort, grinning. I take a bite of my own dinner,  immediately needing my milk; Minhyun laughs

"It's not that bad, Minyoung, it's just mild," He takes a bite of his, swallows and I watch as his face as he slowly lets the burn hit him "Minyoung what did you do to this?" I burst out laughing.

"I put in the extra spicy one, enjoy your ramen." Minhyun glares at me,

"I suddenly regret choosing to stay the night,"
