The next morning I woke to the familiar sound of Allistair's truck. Wait Allistair was back! I got up quickly and put on some clothes for school then I went into the bathroom and dabbed natural looking makeup on before brushing out my long curly brown hair and leaving it to sit naturally on my shoulders. I half- walked half ran to the barn where I knew Allistair would be.
"Allistair! Your back!" I said looking him in his big blue eyes,
" yeah I am." He said looking slightly uncomfortable with my eyes locked on him, so I tore them away and looked at the ground,
"Are you feeling better?"
"What? I mean yeah I had the day off sick-"
"You weren't sick were you " I said raising my eyebrows,
"Promise you won't tell?" He said
" Allistair do I look like I would tell?"
"Well..."
"Oh shut up and tell me" I said getting impatient.
"Ok ok, there was a girl" he started, my heart shattered, a girl? " her name was Alicia and I met her at a pub." He continued," we hit it off and yesterday I woke up and she was in my bed."
"Wow" I said before I turned and walked out. Allistair might as well have ripped my heart out and jumped on it. I know I never stood a chance but.. I still dreamed.
"So that was out of the blue wasn't it?" My friend Stacey said,
"Yeah" I replied, " and he hasn't even told me his last name!"
Stacey raised her eyebrows,
"It's true!" I told her.
"Well at least you have Nate's party on Friday!" She said,
"Oh yeah! That is a gauranteed Spinner free zone!"
F R I D A Y
I got home from school excited. Nate was the second hottest boy I know ( second to Allistair) and I was going to his party!
I came home to Spinner dressed in a nice shirt and jeans.
"Where are you going?" I asked,
" Shawn said that I should come to the party with you, you know to meet people before I start school next week."
My heart dropped. I'd have to go along if I didn't want him to run away again though.
"Ok. But don't embarrass me in front of Nate."
Spinner held his hands up in a surrender pose, "promise."
