"Why you all dressed up?" Keondre thought out loud when he saw Dearra dressed up for a night on the town.

She was wearing a black long sleeved t-shirt that was tucked into her form fitting pair of dark blue skinny jeans, a matching black Hermes belt that she splurged on after she'd received her first paycheck which was more than she expected, high heeled black boots that went up to her knees, and a matching black purse. She had on a full face of natural looking makeup and her curly hair was pulled up into a tight bun.

Keondre had to admit Dearra looked good. Almost too good. He was hoping that she wasn't going out on a date.

"I'm going to brunch with my friend and then we're gonna get our nails done and do a little shopping afterwards." She filled him in on her evening plans with her best friend since childhood, Alexis.

"Your friend? Does she look good? Put me on." Keondre joked.

Dearra shook her head and waved him off. Before leaving the apartment entirely and shutting the door behind her she said, "I should be back around seven PM, but that's not a guarantee, so don't wait up."

Keondre took a quick glance at her round behind as she made her way towards the door. He looked away when the peep show was ended by Dearra shutting the door behind her and walked over to the cream colored sofa. He plopped down and turned on the TV, pressing ESPN's channel numbers on the remote and he relaxed as he watched Shaquille O'neal and his other co-hosts argue with each other about if the dunk that was just shown on the screen was complex enough to be considered legendary. Shaq argued that it was a simple dunk and that the time when he broke the backboard of the hoop from slam dunking the ball should be considered legendary.

Keondre grew bored quickly from watching them bounce from topic to topic and debating them so he shut the TV off and reached into his black garage bag turned suitcase and pulled out an outfit that wasn't extremely exquisite but wasn't too simple either. It was fancy enough to wear back to the block, stunt on niggas, and not get robbed in the process. After he hopped in and out of the shower, brushed his teeth, and threw on his clothes, he cautiously exited the apartment building and sped off in the stolen car.

Upon arriving on the block, niggas dapped him up and gave him their respects for his being brave enough to actually rob a bank and not get caught. He originally came to the hood to speak to his mother and see how she was doing but he figured it could wait once he saw his boys Jay, Trey, and Brandon standing in Jay's driveway, leaning on two cars, and socializing. They all greeted Keondre with a dap and a hug and asked him where he'd been for so long.

"Man, I been in the cut. The feds will do anything to stop a young black man from being free so I know they been watching my house." Keondre spoke.

"Here this nigga go with that black lives matter shit." Jay joked resulting in everyone to burst out laughing.

"Nah for real, they after me, bro. I know y'all seen the news the other day." Keondre declared.

"I did see a few cop cars roaming around his house the other night though." Brandon responded, confirming Keondre's statement.

"Man whatever," Jay waved them off, "Where you been hiding at?"

"Across town at this lil' bad thing's crib, and when I say bad- I mean bad. I'm talking look good with no makeup, long hair, and she's dumb thick! Shorty decent as hell!" Keondre announced, fawning over Dearra.

"Word? Do I know her?" Trey asked.

"Nah, y'all don't know her." Keondre replied, sort of happy that they didn't because they would've for sure cuffed her up if they did.
