I'm Only Human Part 5

I walked over to the place where my new lab would be and I immediately fell in love with it. It was perfect not to mention also fully stocked. I worked there for hours and because of my work I couldn't be there for my friends's first mission.

(Time skip 6 hours)

I had heard that the scouts had come back and I waited about an hour before going over to visit them, just to let them cool off a little. My first time out the walls had been very tiresome so I understood what they must have felt like or so I thought I did.

I walked over to their quarters, and little did I know that almost all the pieces of my heart would be shattered that night.

I walked over and knocked on the door. I waited for about a minute before letting myself inside.

I looked around and wondered why It was dirty. Levi would never have left it this way, We had been friends for months now and I knew that Levi was a huge clean freak.

I looked around a little and found a note sitting on Levi's Pillow

I bit my bottom lip nurvous about what this could contain, I could feel my heart drop when I read it.

Levi's Pov》

Dear Hanji,

I would have hoped you will never have to see this note but you deserve nothing but the truth. For years I had been struggling with depression and only ever had Isabel and Farlan to keep me sane on this earth. Today two people who have always ever been like family to me died in the hands of the animals that consume us. I thank you Hanji, for you have been like a little sister to me I will never be able to thank you enough.

No matter where you look you won't find me nor will you ever talk to me again. I hope you can forgive me for my choice but, I won't and can't live without them

Hanji's Pov》

The words on that piece of paper had hit me like a bat, we had grown together like family over the past seven months and all three had never looked more happy.

Isabel and Farlan were dead I needed to accept that... I couldn't bring them back, I couldn't ever change that. I was lost for a moment overwhelmed with emotions. All I knew was that I could at least try to help change Levi's fate.

I ran to the place where I kept my 3D manuever gear and went to check the grounds. I had searched for about 15 minutes before I saw a figure walking on the wall. We were located at the outer edge wall Maria and if he jumped the titans would be waiting for him, there he was standing there, accepting his loss.

I flew up there, but Levi didn't notice my presence because there he was "jumping to his fate"

A rush of adrenaline came through me and I jumped over after him. I grabbed Levi by the waist and used the grappling hooks to hold us there. Levi was speechless,
he looked uo at me and when we had reached the top of the wall again, he had fainted.
