Long-term studies have shown that the 'new' adaptations on many of our young people are potentially something for future generations to look forward to. Perhaps these strange birthmarks are nature's way of helping us to find the best possible mate.

Birth-tattoos. That's what they call the tattoo-like numbers on the inside of almost everyone's nondominant wrist. They're a new adaptation, I guess. Mom tells me that before 1997, no one had ever seen them before. It's odd to think that the numbers on the inside of my left wrist aren't really a tattoo someone gave me with a needle and ink when I was a baby.
And recently, scientists who've been studying birth-tattoos ever since they showed up, say they believe that the numbers represent the date that you'll meet your best match. You know, the person who is supposed to be the best mate as determined by nature. Other people, the spiritual ones, say it's the day you enter a romantic relationship with your soulmate, the day you're ready to begin your life together.
There are a lot of theories. My adult friend Ali tells me that she and her soulmate Ivan met in sixth grade but didn't date until the second week of tenth, and that was the date on her wrist. So maybe, the numbers are the day you and your soulmate begin to date. I don't know for sure, though.
My date? September 30th, 2018. I can't wait to meet my soulmate. I hope they won't bully me like all the others do. That would be nice.
