Liam entered their small flat at approximately three in the morning. The atmosphere was thin. Only the light from the living room table lit of a small area. As he tiptoed in, he found a sleeping figure spread out on the couch which immediately change his course of direction.

Making his way over towards the couch, he spots his lovely boyfriend curled up underneath a thin blanket, and his cell phone located on the table; low on battery.

Liam slowly maneuvers himself down next to Harry's legs, and lightly begins to shake him,"Harry..." He begins with a soft tone.

Harry moves a bit, accidentally, kicking Liam in the side in the process. Liam groans in pain, scooting over a bit to avoid anymore physical activity from the man.

As he sits a few inches away, Harry slowly opens one eye and speaks,"That's what you get for not calling me back."

Liam chuckles,"That's fair enough." He smiles, moving onto the floor to make eye contact with the younger man.

"Why didn't you call me back, Liam?"

"I'm sorry, I meant to call you earlier, but my phone died while about a couple of hours ago." He explains.

A frown makes it way across Harry's face, but he doesn't question him,"Listen, about me and Zayn—"

The brown-eyed man cuts him off before he can do any further explanation,"Harry, there is no need to apologize. I overreacted and I shouldn't have stormed out like that. I was being selfish by not letting you explain your side of the story. All I heard was the word marriage and I just lost it..."

Harry clearly understands why Liam is taking this so hard. Him and Liam have been dating ever since college, and Liam has always been by his side no matter how bad the situation is. For months, Harry has wanted for his mother to approve of Liam, but instead of talking things out with them first, she goes out of the way to find a complete stranger for Harry to marry. Which explains why Liam is so frustrated with Harry's family. They hate Liam and it's all because of him.

"It's fine. I understand why you reacted the way you did. This is a lot to take in. Especially, now since Zayn is in the picture...for a while at least." Harry grimace at the thought of Zayn and him being friends.

"Actually, about Zayn...he's not such a bad guy. He's pretty intelligent and knows how to help someone out in need. I'm glad he got you fired now, to be honest." Liam admits, causing Harry to sit up in confusion.

"What do you mean?"

Liam stands up and makes his way into the kitchen,"Well, when I was at the bar tonight, I ran into Zayn...and he started explaining that your parents set it up and stuff, but you and him have no interest in each other at all. So, after that point, I told him about how money has been tight for us lately, so he offered you a job."

"Don't you mean, he offered you a job." The green-eyed man asks innocently.

Liam shakes his head, grabbing the leftovers from dinner and places it into the microwave for heating,"No, Harry. He offered you a job, not me."

Harry immediately rises to his feet, following the same steps Liam did. He enters their small kitchen, finding his way over to the lad,"What? Why me?!"

"Because you're jobless right now and I already have a job."

"Well, I don't want it. Why would he offer me the job and not you? We don't even like each other!"

Liam shrugs, taking both of Harry's hands, instantly making the lad clam down,"Harry, this is a great opportunity for you. This job pays twice what you were making at your old job, and Zayn agreed to help me out with financial issues with Jennifer and Skylar."
