Act II

The clock finally chimes five, and he's ready to go home. He stands up from his chair, grabs his coat, puts it on, and makes his way outside.

He has mixed emotions about going home tonight, though. He looks forward to it, frankly, he couldn't wait to come home, knowing exactly what waits for him there. At the same time, he dreads arriving at the farm.

Why does everything constantly has to be very complicated between them anyway? Seriously

Why does everything constantly has to be very complicated between them anyway? Seriously. They can never seem to catch a break.

Last year, he had a deadly face-off with Doomsday, when the monster went and attacked Smallville, nearly leveling the whole town. Yet another job for Superman. Luckily, Clark was, as per usual, able to save the day.

With the whole 'Doomsday' fiasco behind them, everything else went back to normal in their quaint, little town.

Just another day in Smallville, as Sheriff Adams once put it.

Everybody just decided to forget everything that's happened and get on with their lives. Thankfully, there weren't any fatalities. Just...injuries here and there, hairline fractures, and well, torn buildings.
