Calum and I walked silently to his house, to do the project we were assigned. Never thought of the day I'd actually do school shit. It was pretty awkward as neither of us tried to engage a conversation but I guess it was okay?
Finally, he spoke, "So, are you feeling okay now?"
"Yeah, I guess I am" I replied with a little laughter to lighten the mood up a bit.
"Well that's great. Oh yeah, so about the project-" I cut him off before he could finish his sentence saying, "If you don't want to do it, it's totally fine! I doubt it Mrs Connie would even care because hey, look who we're talking about, I never do my work so yeah."
"No, no. That's totally not what I meant. I meant that I wanted to do it actually." he smiled back
"You know, I never really thought I'd even get to engage a conversation with you." i said
"Why's that?"
"I don't really know ha ha it was just a feeling, I guess?"
"Well you should know that I never really talk to people furthermore strangers at all, so you should consider yourself lucky!" he said with a sense of joking.
"Well I'm never really interested in school work but I just had a sense of wanting to know more from you so that is why i'm trying to actually put effort to this shit!" i joked along laughing.
Today's not a bad day after all.
