Chapter Twelve

Special Pendent From Personal Guard:

I stood at his front door,Just thinking about where the scream came from.If it wasnt Aurora,Then who was it? Its like this whole story isnt coming together at all.I started to think about where you would hear screaming from.You could hear it from a room,Another house,Outside,and other places.

I walked back to Gabby's house but I got stopped by a guard.I didnt reconizge his voice nor have I seen him around.I suggested that he was new or either still in training.He had dark brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes.He started to speak before I could even have time to walk away."May I ask where your going ma'am?".

I looked at him and responded back."I am going to my friends house.Now I have to go".I tried to walk off but he stopped me once again."Before you go,Are you Kia?",He asked.

"I am",I said confused on how he knew my name."Ah,Thats great I guess.Im Kai,I am your personal guard...Well,um,I dont know if you were told or not yet but Lord Ivan sent me here from another Village.We are not related but im one of his "good" friends.".

I listened to him as he introduced himself.He seems like one of those shy guys.Im not saying that being shy isnt a good thing because I actually find it adorable.He looked into my eyes for a second then looked away.

"Here",He said as he put a necklace in my hand."What's this?",I asked.I realized it started to glow a light gold then it turned red.I have no idea what it meant but it glowed these colors for a while."This is a pendent but its not just any pendent,Its special.The pendent turns colors from your mood.Its like it can detect your feelings so if I ever see you throughout the day,The pendent will tell me how your feeling",He said.

"Did you find this yourself or did you buy it from someone?",I asked.He laughed a bit and smiled,"I found it a couple of years ago whrn I was in my old Village.That Village is full of pendents like these".

"What does it mean if its gold and red?"

"Heh...Well gold represents happiness while red represents shock",He explained.

"Well in my generation,Red represents anger",I said and I giggled."Your generation?? Werent you born here?",He asked.

"No actually.Ive been sent here by a weird portal and I have no idea why",I said and he looked at me.

"How old are you in that generation?"

"I would be somewhere around 16 by now...Well I should get going. Thank you so much for the pendent",I said as I put the pendent on around my neck and walked away.

Kai seems super nice and kind.He's not like any other boy ive met here.He's really social but kind of shy.I dont think I need a personal guard to take care of me,But maybe I could make a new friend.
