Seokmin

You roamed between the floor to ceiling shelves, stuffed to bursting with books, looking to see if anything sparked your interest. Books that couldn't fit were stacked precariously at the ends of shelves and against walls. Even chairs had books placed carefully on them.

You had been searching for a few minutes now, not successful on your quest. Although you could search the shelves for hours, it was not the real reason you had entered the bookstore - at least not this time. Your boyfriend Seokmin worked there, and he told you to meet him after his shift. So you were there, but you couldn't find Seokmin anywhere. You had been walking around for a while, looking at books to pass time, but you were starting to get curious as to where he was, as well as slightly impatient.

As if he could sense your distress, you were heading to another room of books to look through when someone's hands softly touched your shoulders and you heard a quiet 'boo'. You jumped, keeping in your squeal, and spun around to the sound of soft laughter, and there stood your boyfriend; your big smile, baggy blue sweater, brown fluffy haired boyfriend, Seokmin. Laughing at your fright.

His laughter slowed to soft giggles and he gave you a small wave. "Hi," he said, snorting. You slapped his shoulder and he started laughing again.

"Hey, you goof," you said, a grin slipping over your face. You slapped him a few more times as he tried to block your attacks.

"Don't scare me like that!" you scolded him. His laughter finally slowed down, though his bright, sunshiny smile was still plastered across his face.

"Ahh, but it was just too perfect!" Seokmin said. You pouted at him, feigning sadness, and Seokmin chuckled. "Alright, I'm sorry. Just don't look at me like that, you're too cute." You blushed at his words and focused your eyes on your loosely laced shoes. Seokmin smiled fondly at the view of the top of your head before speaking once more.

"Are you ready to go?" he asked. You looked up at him.

"I've been ready for 15 minutes!" you told him. He gave a sheepish smile, fiddling with the frayed edge of his sweater sleeve.

"Yeah, sorry about that," he said, gazing at you through his fringe, but he perked up almost immediately. "But! I think I found a book you might like!" He grinned. Seokmin, having the job he does, will sometimes find a book while cleaning or stocking shelves that he thinks you might enjoy. So he'll keep it aside for you, sometimes getting it for free if he catches his boss on a good day. He knew you too well, honestly, since every book he has brought you, you have loved.

"Really?" you asked excitedly. All previous thoughts of having to wait  vanished to the wind as you anticipated what Seokmin had for you. "What is it?"

"Close your eyes and wait here. I'll get it," Seokmin answered. In your excited state you didn't question your boyfriend and promptly closed your eyes. "I'll be right back," you heard Seokmin say before the faint flop of footsteps could be heard retreating from where you stood.

You prayed you wouldn't have to wait much longer like you had before, and it seemed Seokmin heard your prayer as well. Soon after you heard footsteps nearing you. Your hands clenched in excitement at the return of your boyfriend. You waited patiently for some more instructions, like "put your hands out" or "open your eyes", but nothing came. Your face became neutral as you became curious as to what your boyfriend was doing until you felt someone grasp your right arm gently. Slowly you felt Seokmin's lips press gently on yours.

You stood still, not registering what was happening as Seokmin traced his hand down your arm and laced your fingers together. You finally woke from your daze, tightly holding your boyfriend's hand and kissing back. It was sweet, though also passionate. Seokmin grew closer to you, tilting his head slightly and you sighed in content. A moment or so passed before Seokmin pulled away - quite hesitantly you noticed. You opened your eyes and looked up, finding Seokmin already staring down at you. You blushed at the small proximity of your faces. Seokmin smiled, his eyes disappearing slightly and showing off pretty white teeth.

"You're so cute when you blush," he said shamelessly. The blush reached up to your ears and you looked down again. You felt Seokmin's lips on your hair, kissing the top of your head.

"Hey," he whispered. "Look what I got." Seokmin brought a book into your line of vision and you gasped. You snatched it from him and studied the cover. A smile overtook your features and you flipped it over, reading the back. You were busy reading about the new find and didn't see Seokmin smiling at you, nothing but love in his eyes as he watched you.

"Does it look good?" he asked, hoping you were happy with what he found.

You nodded vigorously. "Yeah it does! Thank you Seokmin!" you exclaimed and jumped onto him, hugging your arms around his neck. He wrapped his arms around you quickly so neither of you fell over. "You always find the best books, I don't know how you do it!" You leaned away and planted a kiss on his cheek before pulling away from him fully. Once you did you noticed a blush on his tan cheeks.

"I don't know either," he mumbled, laughing lightly. It was silent then before Seokmin cleared his throat. "Well, do you wanna go?" he asked.

"Yeah, let's go," you agreed. You turned, already heading to the door when Seokmin came up next to you and slid his hand into your empty one, giving it a squeeze. You smiled up at him and exited the store, talking hurriedly about the book you acquired and what you two were going to do that afternoon.
