The summon token was one of the widely most recognized objects among the elites of the Southern Continent. It was a silver medallion with the majestic image of two crossed swords. The summon token represented the highest authority of the entire Southern continent. It was a call to summon of the beholder. By decree of the laws of the Southern continent, anyone who posses that token can give an absolute command as long as it is in efforts to accomplish the goal of the summon. What made this token even more particularly fearful was the fact that the reason for the bestowal of the token was never made public, and as long as the inheritor demanded anything, including the death of anyone, that demand must be met.

In the entire history of the southern continent, there have only been a limited amount of times this medallion had been issued to individuals. The summon token is usually taken from the individuals it was bestowed to after the completion of their task. Rumor had it, that the summon tokens were handed out by legendary saints. The actual value of the medallion wasn't really known to Willard, he received this medallion from Sebastian, who passed it to him on behalf of the metal saint. Sebastian had vaguely explained that the token was an important artifact, but Willard did not think too much of it. The significance could be said to have been lost in translation or pretty much insignificant to Willard. After all, to someone with his strength, there was absolutely no need to borrow another's strength. The presence of the medallion meant that the bearer of the medallion had the authority of the Southern kingdom itself, and as such was only bestowed to those considered vital to the Southern kingdom.

Kaylin stared at Willard with a fearful gaze. He never imagined that Willard would have such a thing on him, and from the making of the token, he could tell it was the real deal. "My apologies your majesty," Kaylin said as he bowed to Willard. What truly scared him was how Willard had casually brought it out. Almost like he did not really know of its value. At this point, all he could feel was utter dread at the thought of Willard. "I cannot possibly dare take this token from you. I don't have the authority to ask or take this item from you." Although Kaylin said those words, his real fear, was the authority that came with the summon token. If Willard demanded his life, there was nothing he could do to stop his death.

"In that case, I assume everything has been straightened out. We will be leaving this city shortly." Willard said as he placed the summon token back in his pouch.

Kaylin gave a deep bow and walked out of the inn. His face was covered with beads of sweat. No one would have realized it, but to Kaylin, this was the biggest scare of his life. Not even offending the royal family would have caused this much fear to him."That bastard actually caused me to face such a disaster. I won't rest until the entire Bastich family pays for this." Kaylin said as he rushed to the Kahn household. On his way, he couldn't help think about Willard's origins. In his life, he had never met anyone who actually had a summons token, and for him to run into a youth like Willard was an even bigger surprise. The stories he had heard while he interrogated Oaklif made more sense now. How two elemental energy experts had been willing to address him as master. With a summoning token, even the leader of the house of Kahn will be forced to call him master.

Shortly after Kaylin left, the rest of the group joined Willard and left the city. On the way out, the once bubbling city was devoid of personality. It looked like a monsoon had swept right through the city, quenching every amber of life within it. Ahmed led the group through the forest, as he was most familiar with the road ahead. Occasionally, Ahmed would glance behind him and stare at the group with complex emotions. He was currently being forced to participate in this unknown journey without his consent. That thought alone nearly drove him crazy, and to add insult to the injury he was in a group comprising of his beloved brother's killer. Within this anger was also a sense of wonder. As his occasional glance would reach Willard, he couldn't help but wonder about the true strength of Willard. He couldn't quite understand how they had managed to kill not just one, but two elemental energy expert of a city, and still managed to leave without even the slightest confrontation. Thinking about it all left him in a little daze. This was way beyond anything a 5th or 6th level elemental energy could muster. At this point, an idea seemed to pop into his mind, and as he thought more about it, a new sense of fear and excitement seemed to get mixed in there.
