It's odd how there are variation of sounds can be put together to make words. To make names. It's interesting how when I say, 'Hello my name is lehcar cook but, but I prefer Ray, that you, dear reader, can understand exactly what I mean. I greeted you, welcomed you to my story. I told you who I, the narrator, am. You understood the meaning of my words.
You see, the thing I truly adore about words is their potential. If I shouted at you for no reason and left you after years of friendship you would feel something. That's not the example you deserve though. If I told you that your closest friend passed away you would react to my words in, hopefully, a negative way. Maybe you would feel the knot in your chest as you scream. The warm tears streaming down your cheeks. You would feel the pain of the reality of my words hitting you like a train.
And what about if I told you about the tall girl with purple bags under her brown eyes from lack of sleep? The girl who's hair is parted slightly to the right and dyed a bright blonde colour because she despises the simplicity of dirty blonde. The girl with a crooked smile because she pulled teeth prematurely, chapped lips and no chapstick, and a scarily thin frame because her family struggles with money for food. She has a broken family and a tainted mind. She has scars that only she can see but, despite her flaws, she is the very definition of perfect!
Yes. That's the example you felt. The example you saw. That's what I adore about words. You soon stop seeing the written word and start seeing the customizable image. You chose the structure of her face and maybe you even imagined her as someone you know. You may have completely ignored what I told you was the colour of her eyes or hair. You had the power to accept or ignore.
Now reader, have you become disinterested in my obsession with words? Are you over talking about Alebas, about perfection? Have you noticed the lack of self description?
I want you to feel words the way I do. I want you to love Alebas with passion and I want to make you question something. I wanted to provide you with something to piece together. So I have a story for you. Don't leave and don't skim. Maybe you will learn. Perhaps you will gain an open mind from this expirience. Mayhaps you will feel the fire of passion starting in the hidden depths of your heart. I'm ready for you to enter my world when you are. Begin when you are ready. After all, you have the power to leave and the choice to stay. Choose wisely love.
