Steve, Alex, and Erika stood at the top of the hill, walking towards Erika's house for the aforementioned sandwiches and tea.

"Erika, have you been doing some... uh... rennovations?" Steve asked, gawking at the elegantly built chamber of obsidian and wood, that was now jutting from the west side of Erika's house. "Nope. That's Hero's room."

"You mean you let him build his own room?" Steve practically shouted.

"Well, yeah. He insisted. I mean, who am I to disagree with a guy who has two and a half feet and about a hundred pounds on me?"

"I suppose you have a point. But, if he saved you, then he likes you, and probably won't kill you."

"What do you mean 'PROBABLY'?!" Erika nearly shouted in return.

"Haven't seen him in ten years. People change." Steve shrugged as they approached the doorstep. Alex rapped on the door, and Herobrine approached, about to open the door, before hesitating and asking Erika; "Should I let them in-" suddenly his gaze focused on Steve and he slammed the door open. "Herobrine, I-" Steve was about to apologize for something, but Herobrine cut him off with a choked sob and a gigantic bear hug.

"I missed you." he said, his face wedged in Steve's shoulder.

"Me, too." Steve admitted, before beginning to cry as well, returning his brother's embrace. After a bit of sitting on the step and catching up with one another, Everyone stepped inside. It was long into the night before Steve and Alex departed and Hero and Erika were left alone.

"Welp, I'm heading to bed!" Erika declared, stretching deeply.

"Alright, then. Guess I will, too, then." Hero replied with a yawn. Erika stepped through her bedroom door, that was now directly adjacent to Hero's.

" 'Night Mothball." Hero said as he sauntered through his bedroom door.

"Wait, wait, wait. Hold up. 'Mothball'?" Erika asked, backpedaling through the doorframe.

"Yeah. 'Mothball'. Mostly your eye. It's pale and round."

"Oh." Erika reached up and patted a thumb on her cheek beneath her left eye, which she was nearly blind in from an accident involving some poison when she was a child. It was a silver-white orb that Erika had once worn an eye patch over, because she thought it made her look ugly. Of course, she still thought so, but wasn't wont to admit it, because it seemed petty.

"Well, I think it's pretty." Hero broke the silence.

"Y-you can read thoughts?" She queried.

"Yep." Hero yawned, "Sometimes it's more of a curse than a blessing."

"Th-then you heard all-all of those nasty things I-"

"They weren't nasty, so much as ignorant." he replied nonchalantly. "I understand that you're kinda scared of me."

"A-alright." she stuttered "Goodnight."
