Saw this somewhere in daum. Media/Entertainment and Politics in South Korea are tightly connected. If you take a look on it, ever since the korean entertainment gained a lot of attention their economy rate boosted up. Which basically means that korean pop, korean dramas, and other korean shows are the ones who play a main role that made their economy rate higher than usual.
The dark sides of each and every entertainment are really kept, but there are some k-netizens that knew. Business men are not the only ones who benefit korean actors/actresses, but the politicians as well.
So for those who says that "it's only kpop", don't just "ONLY" kpop because that's the foundation of their country.
