Unpredictable

Chapter 1

Troian's POV

I opened the door to my home. The home I shared with my husband, Patrick. Patrick and I had been married for around two years now.  But we have been drifting apart recently.

"Patrick?" I called as I stepped through the door and into the modern house.

"In here!" He answered, the loud noise coming from the living room.

Patrick was sitting on the couch texting someone. I couldn't see who. Though it looked like he was sending a few kissing emojis. I shook my head; Patrick wasn't a cheater.

"Hi, honey." He said, looking up and displaying a warm smile upon his face.

"Hi," I replied with sadness.

Patrick knew me so well. Well enough that I could tell when I was upset.

"What's the matter?" He asked, worry settling in his voice. He patted the cushion nest to him, motioning me to sit down. "What's wrong?" He repeated.

"You know how we tell each other everything, right?" I asked, while sitting down on the velvet piece of furniture.

"Of course."

"You'd tell me if you had feelings for another person, wouldn't you?"

"I would, but thats never gonna happen, Troi." 

"So you'd want me to tell you if I liked someone else?" He looked at me with a confused expression.

I told him the whole story, from the beginning. How I met him a few years back, how we worked to together for 7 years. How we hadn't seen each other since we wrapped.

A tear made its way down my face, dripping onto my hands below me. I looked up, worried for his reaction. I saw pain in his eyes. Pain and tears. I lifted his chin up and gave him a short kiss. 

"I'm sorry." I whispered. I untangled my hands from his and stood up.

I walked out the darkly lit room, tears streaming down my face. I grabbed my bag and looked around.

This was the home I had hoped I would raise my family in.

I opened the front door and stepped out.

That is the one moment in my life that I never want to re-live. The pain was ever so real, but I knew that I had to let him go.
