When people are born, some people are more important than others, and that is what it is like for Mai. When she was born she came with a special gift. Mai and her parents did not know at the time that she had a gift. Over the years, Mai was able to hear a song and know what song it was even if she had never heard it before. She could hear things from far away. She was soon going to find out about her gift and her destiny to save New York.

“Mia it is time to go to school.” said her mom.
“Coming!” said Mai.
“Do you want me to drive you to school?” asked her dad.
“No I can take the bus.”
On Mia’s way to the bus stop she could feel that someone was watching her, but when she looked no one was there. She looked around more but then she had to go to the bus. On the bus, Mai could feel that there was a dark presence on the bus. When they got to school; there was no presence of someone there. During the day, everything was normal. But something weird happened in music class. When Mai was waiting for class to start she was thinking of a song she had heard and the beat of it was coming from her hands. No one notice the beat, only Mai did. When she got home from school she went to her room and thought about what happened I class. She thought about the song in her head. She held out her hand, and the beat came out of her hand.
Her parents heard the noise and went to her room. When they got there, they saw that her room was a mess. Mai had just found out that she had super powers. Her and her parents talked it over and came to a conclusion that she should use her powers for good and not bad. So Mai made a costume so that no one would know who she really was, and called herself Super Sonic.
One night when she was watching for a robbery or something. She ran into a man in black, when she saw him she gave him a sound wave. He goes back but does not give up.
“Hello Mai I have been watching you for a long time. You have grown up to be a strong woman.” said the man in black.
“What do you want?!” said Mia.
“Just to rule New York then the Untied States then the world!”
“I will never let you do that!”
Mai throws her best move at the man in black. The man in black throws a dark ball at her. She dodges it and jumped on her beat board, she flew up and throws a beat ball. He throws something she cannot do anything about it.
“Do you remember the time you went on a field trip to the rock and mineral field and your class was looking at some of the rocks and when you touched halite you got weak.”
“Yes, I had been running around a lot and got tired.”
“I don’t think so.”
As the man in black pulled out halite, and Mai falls down out of the sky. But she does not give up. She fights for New York. She gets up and goes over to him and is still fighting for the world. As Mai gets weaker and weaker he gets more powerful. Since she has a weakness, he must have one too she just has to find it. She thinks of what his weakness is, and then she remembers that when she was waiting for the bus she could feel something watching her in the darkness. The only reason they where fighting now was because it was dark out his weakness is light. So all she had to do was bring him to a bright spot.
She remembered that there was a movie shot at Lady Liberty. All she had to do was bring him there. She just had to get away from him first to get some power to get the beat board back. When she did she flew to Lady Liberty, and when he got there the lights got him and he dropped the halite. She got her power back and defeated him and turned him into the FBI.
When she got home she knew he would be back and she had to be ready. So she created a secret lair in the back of her parent’s music store. No one would know where to find her.
