When The Popular Noticed Me....

chapter 2

''I am you math teacher Mr. White and I hope you comfortable in the seats your sitting in because   these will be the seats you will be sitting in for the rest of the year.''

As he said those words it took a few seconds for the realization to hit me.

As he said those words I instantly got butterflies in my stomach. ''Since its the first day I'm going to give you something easy to do. You will be filling out a get to know your partner packet Get busy!'' After the teacher finished Dani turned her head to look at me. ''Whats your name'' she asked smiling. Great my theory was right she really didn't know my name.  ''I-its um its Mason'' I stuttered out. ''Are you new this year?'' she asked. ''No I've been here since freshman year'' I said looking down embarrassed she didn't even recognize my face. ''Hi i'm-'' I interrupted her '' Dani I know'' She just smiled and looked down at the packet we then started to fill out. 

For the rest of the day I couldn't get Dani out of my head. She was beautiful AND nice. Unlike all the rest of the populars who either make fun of me or don't acknowledge my existence.  I sat across the room from Dani so I could look at her without looking like a stalker. As I was looking at her all of a sudden Bryan stands up and roughly grabs Dani's arm and drags her out of the lunchroom. I wanted to kill him for touching her like that but what could I do. He would end up winning the fight and I would look like even more of a loser. 

A few minutes later Bryan can back in the room looking satisfied. He walked over to their table and began making out with some bleach blonde, very unattractive girl. Then a few more minutes passed and Dani walked in looking like she had been crying. Now I really wanted to kill Bryan for dumping Dani then making out with someone right in front of her. 

Travis must have noticed I was staring at her. He  nudged my shoulder and said ''never gonna happen dude. People like her don't talk to people like us.'' I averted my stare off of Dani and looked at him and nodded my head. All of a sudden we felt someone sit down at our table. It was Dani. Me and Travis look at each other shocked then back to her. ''Um its Mason right?'' she asked. I then nodded my head waiting for her to say so thing else. ''Can I sit with you guys I don't  really know where else to sit.'' she aid shyly. I just stared at her for a few seconds not believing what I was hearing.  Travis hit my shoulder sending me out of my trance and I quickly responded '' Oh sure yeah.'' 

We all just sat there in silence until Dani said ''So whats your name.'' We both look up from our food to see she's smiling at Travis. ''Oh um its Travis''. ''Nice to meet you'' she responded. ''What do you guys usually talk about'' she asked. Thankfully just as she said that the lunch bell rang. ''Well I'll see you guys tomorrow'' she said nicely. 

Right after she walked away me and Travis looked at each other ''Holy crap we just had lunch with Danielle Peterson'' Travis said clearly amazed. ''Its just Dani'' I said smiling at the back of her walking away. 

This was going to be one crazy year.
