Pinkie Pie never wears clothes much outside of the house because she's very self-conscious about her weight. Outfits never seem to look good on her. She'll wear anything around the house because it's just her, Rarity, and occasionally Sweetie Belle. Rarity knows that Pinkie wants to wear dresses and cute outfits, so she spent months trying to figure out how to make perfect custom dresses just for Pinkie. Finally, she was able to get the prefect combination of fabrics and methods and was able to make beautiful dresses that look magnificent on her sweetheart. She always created special dresses just for Pinkie that were never designs she sold to anypony.
