Someone new

A talk in the woods

"look kids, its the poster i got Wendy to print off!" Exclaimed Stan.
"Tuesday night! You said that we had a week to practise" Mabel whinged.
"Mabel, calm down we've been doing this for years, it's not like we could forget it all, even if we wanted to." Dipper stated in a monotone voice. Stan suggested that the twins should take a walk and cool off. Ford agreed.

Dipper knew Reverse Falls like the back of his hand, he took Mabel to the woods where no one could hear her cry.
"Why does he insist on real magic?"
"You know, maybe he's not insane..."
Mabel looked at her brother in horror, thinking he's gone mad, she put her hand on his forehead to check his temperature.
"I mean he's repeated himself year after year, constantly blabbering on about magic, maybe he's not imagining things.." Mabel processes what Dipper just told her.
"What do you mean?" Mabel asked.
"Mabel, whenever we're in Reverse Falls, do you ever feel like you're being watched?" Dipper answered Mabel's question with another question. Mabel nodded in reply.
"Then what if we ask Ford to show us his way of doing things?" Dipper suggested in a curious tone.
"What if he refuses? Or or, what if he tells us to figure it out ourselves? We don't have enough time before Tuesday!" Mabel stressed.
"If he does, then we'll sneak into his room and look for, something."
"But if we get in trouble I'm blaming you since it was your idea!"
"We won't get in trouble." Reassured Dipper.

When Dipper and Mabel were heading back, Dipper heard someone speaking.
"Who do you think they are?"
" I don't know but they look a bit too fancy to be living in a town like this!" Whispered unknown voices. Dipper chose to ignore the stalkers and carry on walking.

They finally got back at around 8pm. No one greeted them, so they decided to go find Ford and ask for him to teach them real magic. Turns out, he can't remember but he gave them a gift to compensate. He gave them a journal that he wrote years ago.
