"3...2...1.."

"Happy New Year~!"

The brunette shouted, throwing his head back and laughing while raising the drink in his hand above his head. A few people around him gave him odd glances but then ignored him and went back to their previous conversation and tasks while he leaned back against a chair, humming. The white haired male stood off to the side but moved forward timidly until he was close to him before shyly tapping the detectives shoulder.

"Dazai-san..?"

The tall man spun around to face the smaller white haired male before throwing an arm around him.

"Atsushi-kun! Happy New Year!"

Atsushi gave a slight chuckle and the put his arms to his chest, he was being shaken around by the taller male who had clearly already had a little too much to drink.

"B-but Dazai-san," He tried to get out of the brunette's grip on him but had no luck, still being shaken around senselessly. "New Years isn't for another hour..."

The detective froze for a second and looked over at the time, it was indeed only 11 now, but he brushed it off.

"I know that! That's why I'm just practicing Atsushi-kun~!!" Dazai grinned, covering up his mistake and placed his finger out as if telling the boy to wait while he took another long sip from his glass.

The man tiger gave a small laugh pretending he knew what the older male was talking about. "Yeah... heh.." He soon finally got the chance and slid away from the drunken man without him noticing, leaving Dazai to hum and sway on his own.

The brunette plopped down into chair he had been hanging around, partial drops of his drink spilling onto his bandaged arms. He lazily watched as the drops soaked into the off-white stitched fabric wrapped tightly around his arms, before averting his gaze upwards. It was actually quite the event to witness on this New Year's Eve. It had taken a lot of convincing, and that meant a lot of convincing on his part for this scene to finally play out.

The Armed Detective Agency and the Port Mafia, together for the celebration of the New Year. Crazy right? Well it was, and was something that Dazai hadn't thought would actually happen, he had just gone on a whim and tried for it, what could go wrong?

Of course, it had been fairly calm in the city of Yokohama between the two organizations, or even in general. After the fall of the Guild it seemed as though both the Agency and Mafia had fallen on better terms with each other. So convincing the two hadn't been as difficult as Dazai would've originally thought. He wasn't going to get into the details, but let's just say that he's very good at manipulat-, convincing people.

Dazai had also somehow persuaded Mori to have it be held in the Mafia's organization, or rather, he talked to Elise and told her how much fun a party would be. At first, no one had been up for it and everyone stayed pretty much as far from each other as possible.

That's was... until they began drinking of course. Now, including himself, Dazai could see all members, whether it be from the Agency or Mafia, we're laughing, cheering, dancing and getting along way better than he had originally planned. Even the ones that refused or too young to drink we're having fun and getting friendly with the ones from the opposing organization.
