Chapter 4

James' POV

Today is Sunday, supposed to be a rest day for students, but wasn't for us, student athletes. It's kinda tiring, but it's fun. I love basketball, that's why, I still continue playing, even though my father doesn't want me to. Our weekend training only lasts for four hours. It starts from 8 in the morning, and ends until 12 o'clock in the afternoon.

"Yeah, I'm on my way." I said back, boredly.

I am currently talking to Joshua on the phone, saying that I'm late na sa practice.

[Dude, bilisan mo naman! Baka dumating na si Coach, siguradong lagot ka do'n!]

"Oo na! Papatakbuhin lang naman niya ako sa gym for punishment kapag na-late. Tss, I'm used to it." I ended up the call without waiting for his answer.

After locking my car safe, tumakbo na ko papuntang gymnasium ng school, wearing my jerseys.

"10 round run, Uno!" Ano pa nga ba?

I didn't talked back to coach. I just put my backpack on one of the benches, and started running around the court, with my players already having the first routine during training– stretching.

I sipped on my energy drink, while my heart is still beating fast. Sweats running down my body, but I don't mind wiping it tho. I'm hot naman, e.

"Malapit na ang School's competition, Team! Starting tomorrow, you will no longer attend your classes, even every Saturday. You'll stay inside the gymnasium the whole day." Our head Coach announced. "Avoid partying din for now, and stop flirting because girls are just a bother for your training! Now, you can go home and take a rest."

Avoid partying? LOL no. Girls, pwede pa. But alcohol? No, buddy.

I went inside the basketball team's dugout after coach's announcement. I reached for a towel, a pair of sweatpants and shirt, and a pair of my black slides to wear on my feet when I remove my shoes. After that, I entered the shower room, founding some of my childish teammates playing with the shampoo bubbles in their heads.

"Don't you dare." I threatened the youngest in our team, when he's about to shove a handful of bubbles on my skin.

Aries and William just laughed and teased him. "Uno, take it easy. Ram's just having fun with the bubbles." William said, who just put a shampoo on his hair.

"Well, I came here to shower. Not to have fun." Childish fuckers.

"Shonget naman ng James Kenth na 'yan!" Vincent teased me, after I entered a cubicle beside him and Dos. Hindi ko siya pinansin, and I just did what I am supposed to do here. Hindi naman kailangan na makipag-usap ako, 'di ba?

"Tres, may lakad ka ngayon?" Dos asked, who's right beside me, showering. I looked on my left side, to see Tres.

I thought, we're hanging out tonight?

Vincent nodded. "Yeah, lalabas kami ni Sophia." I didn't protest when he answered. Okay, so he have plans with his girl pala.

"May pinopormahan ka na, Pre?" Tanong ni Harvey, teammate ko.

Vincent nodded before he smiled. "Yeah. And she's my girlfriend now."

"Balita ko, pati ikaw Joshua, ah! 'Yung pinsan din ni Kylie 'yung sa'yo 'di ba?" Aries asked Joshua, looking interested about the topic.
