~June's P.O.V.~
I'm hoping, just hoping Drake will be able to see again. He has been asleep for a few days now. Every once in a while he wakes up and starts having a panic attack until the doctor gives him another shot of morphine.
************One Day Later**************
"Good news! Drake is able to check out today if you want to take him home." Doctor Carlile says. "Okay thank you so much doctor." I smile and shake his hand. "You're welcome, June." He says before he walks out of the room.
I let out a sigh. I am exhausted. I go over to Drakes hospital bed and lay down beside him. He tenses up a bit. "Drake it's okay its just me," I smile and cuddle up beside him. "We can go home today if you want Drakey." I whisper in his ear. "Can we go home now June?" He says, his voice getting lower in the end. "Of course baby."
I get up off the bed careful not to hurt Drake. He sits up and reaches out and I grab his hand. He puts his hand over my shoulder, I grab his stuff and leave the hospital.
***********One Month Later************
Drake has learned to do most things without sight. He doesn't remember what happened to him before I got home that day but we are working on it. I am still trying to figure out who did this to him and why they did but it is tricky.
"Drake would you like to go out with me?" I ask, my cheeks going red. "Of course I will." So we get in the car and drive to the coffee house downtown. We park in front of the building and I get out to help Drake out.
I grab his arm and help him out of the car. "June...What are you wearing today?" He asks with a smile. "I'm wearing that blue blink-182 tee you love and some black skinny jeans, why?" I ask. He has the absolute best smile ever. "June... I can see you," he hugs me tight. I almost pass out at those words. "And you've never looked more beautiful." I start crying in his arms. As I am crying I mumble "I love you so much." in the crook of his neck. "I love you too, always have and I always will." He smiles.
